Few design debuts have been as celebrated in the last decade as Chemena Kamali’s at Chloé. Kamali’s sophomore collection, presented yesterday in Paris, further cemented that Chloé’s ethereal, distinctly bohemian spirit is back. She presented an inherently romantic, beautiful collection that was just as good as the first.
Inspired by the sensuality and lightness of summer, models didn’t just walk; they floated down the runway in florals, lace, bubble hems, and more. Chloé distinct roots and brand DNA were the starting point once again, but Kamali has made it her own, infusing elements of 70s fashion into the collection like iconic 1970s Chloé bloomers.
Lingerie-inspired garments are also mixed throughout, all in a soft summer palette of apricot, baby blue, lavender, butter yellow, and more. Floral prints of roses and peonies are reworked from a hand-painted piece dating back to 1977.
As for the bags, they too, offer unmistakable nods to summer. The Chloé Camera Bag, introduced with Kamali’s debut, appears embellished with various treasures pairing back to the collection, while gold sea shell details and pearls are added to a new bucket bag shape. More summer bags like crochet hobos and raffia bracelet bags sit alongside shell-adorned leather bags and minaudières.

Stunning! Epitome of bohemian chic
Really beautiful and fresh. This feels more unique and lux than many other high-end brands.
Impressed with this collection!
Getting Loewe vibes off some of this. I see a squeeze bag, a squeeze bag handle and a flamenco behind a shell. I do like the shell crossbodies made from sections of leather.
The raffia bag is divine
wow this is beautiful
Need those floral jeans in image #2 on top of all these gorgeous bags!
