Chanel isn’t sending its full Spring 2016 collection to boutiques until March, but until then, the brand has released a healthy selection of pre-collection bags to tide us over until a little closer to spring. The lookbook launched on the brand’s site at the end of last week, and we have a close look at all the bags, plus prices.
The bags are heavier on the python than we’ve seen from Chanel in a while, and there’s also a healthy dose of denim (a huge emerging trend which we alerted you to on Friday). Overall, there’s nothing too strange and plenty of functional, beautiful everyday options–a strong introduction to spring indeed.

I really love the embroidered denim flap and the bowling bag. It seems like their collections have less gimmicks. Even if it’s a seasonal collection, they all have a timeless appeal. A very “casual” collection. I love it!
31 looks, and I only saw two that I liked. The bi-color bag is cool, and I love #28
The top handle bags are a little old lady. I see Sophia Petrillo carrying one. I can’t get over the prices of the denim bags. Almost the same as the leather options. Embroidery or not, $2000 is plenty. I’ll give them some leeway since it’s Chanel.
I agree on the top handle bags. I felt they looked very dated.
I cannot believe I am saying this but I really like the backpack. I can imagine me carrying it all summer. Are backpacks only for 20 year olds hmmm…
More than $3000 for a bag made of denim? No thanks. I did like a few of the bags, like the goatskin flap bag. But there is no way I’d put down several thousand for a denim bag.
I feel the same way. For the price, I’d rather buy leather Chanel bags for $$$ more.

Chanel should come up with a unique backpack silhouette – not force fit an existing one. I really like the perforated totes.

Wow, those denim bags are ridiculous! I don’t like them at all, and there is no way I will pay that kind of money. I am not understanding the fascination with denim handbags. I have never liked any of them-no matter what brand.

Ah, return of denim. I’ve been waiting so long! My faves here are the drawstring and the 2.55 in denim. But the price point is the same for a leather version. 🙁

Gee all this “price upon request” guess those are only for the rich! Nothing exciting here. The light blue denim looks dirty already. Seems to me its all the same style.
