Fun fact: everyone loves a good sale, even if those who get several much-publicized six- or seven-figure paychecks per year. Just because you can afford to pay full price doesn't mean you want to, or that doing so doesn't make you wonder whether you could have gotten a better deal. I patently refuse to pay full price for anything that isn't a food item or a service that I'm totally dependent on. Of course, there are certain brands who don't so much as acknowledge that sales exist, even conceptually. I'm not going to name names, but we all know who they are. Somehow, I don't think they miss my business.
Céline Belt Bag
Actress Ali Larter was spotted shopping in LA with a black and white Céline Belt Bag from Céline's Spring 2015 collection. I suddenly feel the urgent need to go buy at least eight bright white cotton sundresses.
Taraji P. Henson
Edie Parker Jean Stripe Clutch
$1,195 via Neiman Marcus
This just might be the first time we've ever seen Taraji carrying something non-Chanel. Here she is walking the event carpet at the Guy's Choice Awards with a striped Edie Parker clutch. Edie Parker clutches have always had a home on the red carpet, but they are experiencing a crazy surge in popularity with celebs this summer.
Kimora Lee Simmons
Christian Dior Lady Dior Bag
Here's Kimora Lee Simmons, taking her daughters and their friends to lunch in Beverly Hills, as one does. She looks extremely lady-like with her pleated pink skirt and black Lady Dior bag.
Chanel Classic Flap Bag
Katy Perry was really trying to keep a low profile in head-to-toe Adidas at Charles de Gaul Airport in Paris. A giant Chanel bag is always a dead giveaway, Katy. (But maybe slightly less so at Charles de Gaul?)
Lanvin Sugar Bag
$2,190 via Net-a-Porter
Celebs cannot stop shopping this week. Here's Jessica Alba out shopping with her husband Cash Warren in LA. She's carrying a black Lanvin Sugar Bag, a perfectly nice bag which I feel has never gotten its rightful share of attention from celebs.
Prada Lock Top Handle Bag
Shop via Bergdorf Goodman
Also spotted shopping: Jennifer Garner. Yes, she's just shopping here, she's not on set for a movie or anything. She's just being Jennifer Garner, skipping around in public with a cute little Prada tote.
Goyard St. Louis Tote
Mansur Gavriel Small Tote
Clearly Jennifer Garner isn't the only person who's super excited about sale season. Here's Jane Krakowski, hitting the stores with her son Bennett in tow. She's carrying a Goyard tote and a Mansur Gavriel tote; one tote simply won't do when the sales are THIS INTENSE.
Gucci Soho Tote
$1,590 via Gucci
Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi was spotted leaving the South of France at Nice Airport with a most attractive Gucci Soho Tote. Gucci's understated Soho line of bags has really grown on me over the seasons.
