Celebrities    The Many Bags Of

The Many Bags of Jessica Chastain

Just like last week, we’re using the busy holiday travel time to take a look at an actress whose rapidly rising star is second only to her rapidly expanding bag collection. Jessica Chastain may not be a household name quite yet, but with the amount of praise she’s received for her roles in films like The Help and the just-released Zero Dark Thirty, it won’t be long.

Chastain has also found fame in the fashion industry, where she’s graced her fair share of magazines (including four collectors’ covers for the January issue of W magazine) and regularly finds herself on the Best Dressed List following major awards shows. Lately, Jessica’s also started toting a covetable series of awesome handbags. She’s only just beginning, but we think she has the makings of what could becoming a formidable accessories collection.

First, we’ll start with a bag that almost every starlet seems to have and love – the Yves Saint Laurent Cabas ChYc. Even if you’re not famous, you can still get one at Net-a-Porter for $2,450.

Next, another current celeb favorite – you can’t be young and famous without a Givenchy Antigona Satchel these days. Pick one up for $2,405 via Bergdorf Goodman.

We’ve caught lots of celebrities carry the Tod’s Signature Tote, but strangely enough, I’ve never seen anyone carrying one in real life. Do the celebs know something that the rest of us don’t? You can shop Tod’s at Tods.com.

If you want something a tad more timeless, Jessica’s bright red Ralph Lauren Ricky Tote will probably satisfy you. Get your own via Ralph Lauren for $4,250.

Is trendy more of your thing? Well, Jessica’s also among the first celebs to sport the brand new Proenza Schouler PS13 Satchel. You can find a black on at Net-a-Porter for $2,495.

I love shots of celebs at the airport because they often provide a double dose of designer glory – both a bag AND a suitcase. In this photo, Jessica doesn’t disappoint – she’s toting a Gucci 1970 Hobo and rolling a Louis Vuitton Pegase Suitcase. You can buy the python version of the Gucci bag for $3,590 via Neiman Marcus, and the suitcase can be yours for $2,680 via Louis Vuitton.

At first, we didn’t recognize Jessica’s Emilio Pucci City Marquise Tote. After you guys helped it out, we think this bag is a strong indication that Pucci would like to get more serious about its handbag line. Good news, by all measures! You can pick up the navy version for $2,604 via Luisa Via Roma.

In general, Jessica’s quite a big fan of luxurious black bags. Here she is with the Belstaff Dolton Tote, which can be yours for $1,900 via Neiman Marcus.

Another black designer bag! This one’s the Marni Top Handle Flap Bag. You can shop Marni via Neiman Marcus.

To wrap things up for the day, we have something a tad different – a handbag we can’t identify! I’ve been looking at this picture all day, I’ve been Googling, I asked Twitter – nothing! Jason Wu? Michael Kors? Tory Burch? We’re not sure, but we bet that one of you knows. We have a feeling that this one will feel obvious once it’s been identified…

UPDATE! Thanks to commenter charletta, we’re pleased to let you know that this is a Fontana Milano 1915 Afef Bag!
