Here’s Sarah Jessica Parker in NYC, carrying an SJP New Yorker Hobo, which seems most appropriate. SJP is better than most stars about carrying or wearing pieces from her own line, but of course, her line is exclusive to Nordstrom, a store she might actually be familiar with as a shopper. (I highly doubt that J-Lo/the Kardashians/Selena Gomez ever set foot in a Kohl’s/Sears/K-mart when they’re not promoting their namesake brands.) You can find a New Yorker Hobo in coral pink leather for $375 at Nordstrom, of course.
Sarah has been on a self-promotion tear this year – we just saw her wearing a pair of SJP Fawn Pumps to a charity event at the White House earlier this week. SJP actually smuggled in several extra pairs of SJP shoes for the sole purpose of Instagram-ing them from inside the White House, which only seems a tad shameless. Love SJP but the shoes and bags she’s come out with are terribly lacking in personality and worse, quality. For such an influential style icon, I was expecting something… more.
