The celebiverse is much more nuanced than you’d imagine, if you only followed along with People and Us Weekly. There are entire solar systems worth of celebrity stylists and fashion bloggers, many of whom you’re probably unaware of and not following on Instagram. We aim to rectify that. Fashion bloggers and celebrity stylists don’t have full access to the arsenal of designer freebies that A-list actresses do, but they really make it work with what they do have, and their bag choices are usually top notch. We’ve included a couple of them, along with a couple of our usual celebs and one very successful businesswoman, below.
Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag
Shop Mansur Gavriel via Barneys
First off, here’s Cougar Town actress Busy Phillips doing a little shopping on Melrose Ave with daughter Birdie. She’s carrying one of our personal faves, the Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag.
Marc Jacobs Trouble Shoulder Bag
$2,900 via Moda Operandi
Here’s Emmy Rossum leaving Madeo’s in West Hollywood with a new bag from Marc Jacobs. I like everything about this bag except the name. I’m not sure what I expect from a bag called “Trouble”, but this isn’t it. It’s too neat and tidy.
Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour Tote
$1,990 via SSENSE
E! guru Giuliana Rancic recently hit up the Brentwood Farmer’s Market with her son Duke and an (almost) equally adorable Saint Laurent Mini Sac de Jour.
Celebrity stylist June Ambrose recently escorted her daughter to a screening of Strange Magic at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. She’s carrying a black (or maybe navy?) Hermès Birkin, natch, and totally rocking a hat that only a celebrity stylist would even attempt to pull off.
Christian Dior Diorissimo Tote
Here’s Mellody Hobson, the chairman of Dreamworks Animation, attending the same movie premiere with her date, hubby George Lucas. She’s carrying a bold red-orange Christian Dior Diorissimo Tote, which is, sadly, not sold online.
Fendi Crocodile Peekaboo Bag
$19,500 via Bergdorf Goodman
Fashion Blogger Patricia Mansfield carried Fendi to a menswear show in Milan, which seems most appropriate. You can keep tabs on what Patricia is wearing/carrying at The Atelier.
Dolce & Gabbana Monica Bag
$2,395 via MyTheresa
Here’s T-Swift, shopping at Brandi Melville in Soho with a D&G bag we love. This is the first time she’s carried this particular Dolce & Gabbana bag (though D&G is pretty much her jam in general), but she does really love those bright jewel tones. We’ve seen her with all manner of jewel-toned bags and shoes in the last year.
Chanel Flap Mini Bag
French Forever It Girl Vanessa Paradis was recently spotted ambling around West Hollywood with a mini Chanel. Fun fact: I don’t think I’ve ever seen a French celeb carrying a bag that wasn’t designed by one of the top French fashion houses. It just doesn’t happen.
