The Gabriela Hearst Nina Bag is not an easy find. We only occasionally see celebrities carrying it, and it helps if they are gal pals of Gabriela Hearst herself. And yet, Russian fashion impresario Miroslava Duma has somehow managed to amass a small collection of at least a half dozen Ninas and their smaller counterparts, the Demis. What’s worse: she has flaunted them at us mercilessly all over European fashion weeks and events for the last two seasons.
Admittedly (and this will not surprise you), she is a gal pal of Gabriela Hearst’s, but this is still a staggering amount of Ninas. If you’re still on the waitlist for your first Nina Bag, maybe you should avoid this post altogether for the sake of your mental health. Or maybe you should dive right in, because did you even know the design came in exotics?
If you want a Nina or Demi of your own, be prepared for a bit of a struggle. The bags aren’t sold through any straightforward channels online or in person; instead, you have to submit a query through the designer’s website, and when your name comes up on the wait list, Hearst’s team will contact you. The brand doesn’t list prices for any of the bags on its site, but according to Vogue, the Nina in regular leather retailed for $1,995 in late 2016.
I must say at first I saw this bag in blogs of thebaghag I wasn’t a fan of it. But after seeing all over the internet, other blog sites and seeing couple of it in person I started liking it.
The bag definitely has an interesting look but I do not find it attractive. All I see is a leather kettlebell.
or something you use to unclog a drain
Anyone know who makes her black hoodie in #5? Thanks in advance!
Vetements.
Can’t forget this one!
I agree with the leather kettlebell reference. All I see is a hard to carry unattractive bag. She sure is committed though, so I’ll give her that. Some of her outfits are horrible.
Not particularly attractive or practical-looking
I can definitely get enough thank you. That was all I needed to see and didn’t care for it.
Better her than me. Seriously ugly bags.
