The Many Bags of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2018’s Celebrity Attendees

Showgoers came out dressed to impress and carrying their fall finest in Italy

We’ve made it three quarters of the way through the Spring 2018 shows, and before our coverage (although not actually us, unfortunately) decamps for Paris, it’s time to look back at the most notable moments of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2018. We already took at look at the week’s best runway bags, but there was plenty more going on outside the shows that will be of interest to accessories aficionados as well.

Milan is often my favorite fashion week for street style; the brand and attendees participating tend to favor lots of color and detail in their looks, which makes for excellent outfits, and the country’s reputation as a leather goods mecca makes for particularly excellent bags. MFW may not be quite as chock full of celebs as New York and Paris, but everyone there is worth seeing. Check out our favorites below.

Anna Dello Russo

It’s not Milan without Anna Dello Russo, this time carrying a new Fendi clutch. Shop Fendi via Nordstrom

A$AP Rocky

Because Gucci shows both men’s and women’s collections together, the show brings out celeb friends beyond the average women’s fashion week crowd, like rapper A$AP Rocky, seen here with a Gucci Coco Capitan Belt Bag. Shop via Gucci

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid has become something of an Alexander Wang muse in the past couple seasons, and she carries his bags even when not explicitly promoting them. Shop the Alexander Wang Primary Belt Bag via Shopbop ($650)

Bella Hadid

But who would turn down a little Dolce? Shop the Dolce & Gabbana Lucia Bag via farfetch.com ($1,695)

Carlotta Oddi

If you’re not familiar with Carlotta, she’s Anna Dello Russo’s right hand woman at Vogue Nippon. Here, she’s carrying a new design from Paula Cademartori. Shop the Paula Cademartoria Twi Twi Bag via farfetch.com ($1,212)

Chiara Ferragni

Chiara Ferragni, queen of the Italian fashion bloggers (and, arguably, of fashion bloggers in general), showed up for Fendi with a Kan I Bag. Shop the Fendi Kan I Bag via Neiman Marcus ($7,150)

Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson is one of Gucci’s favorite celebs, but unfortunate the clutch she’s carrying here isn’t available to us plebes quite yet. Shop via Gucci

Ece Sukan

We don’t know who made Turkish star Ece Sukan’s bag, but we think she looks great nonetheless.

Fumi Nikaido

Japanese actress Fumi Nikaido put a traditional spin on her fun Gucci Ottilia Bag. Shop the Gucci Ottilia Bag via Gucci ($3,500)

Hailey Baldwin

Hailey Baldwin was in Milan to walk instead of sit, so she gets to wear whatever she wants, including this little Givenchy Mini Nightingale Bag. Shop the Givenchy Mini Nightingale via Net-a-Porter ($1,790)

Jenny Walton

Jenny’s the right hand woman at The Sartorialist (and Scott Schuman’s fiancé), and she pulled up to Milan with a chic Céline Clasp Bag.

Kaia Gerber

Even if you didn’t know whose Kaia’s mom is, we think you could probably guess by looking at her. (Cindy Crawford.) On the other hand, we’re not sure who made the bag she’s carrying.

Kendall Jenner

Is this…is this some sort of Prada bulletproof vest Kendall Jenner has on here? Shop Prada via Net-a-Porter

Linda Fargo

Linda is the head of women’s fashion at the one, the only, Bergdorf Goodman, and she’s always impeccably dressed and coiffed, right down to this Proenza Schouler Python Lunch Bag. Shop the Proenza Schouler Python Lunch Bag via Saks ($1,795)

Marion Cotillard

We’re not sure who made Marion Cotillard‘s bag here, but we suspect it may have been Marni.

Olivia Palermo

We know who made Olivia Palermo‘s bag, though: she did! Along with Meli Melo. Shop the Meli Melo Severine Bag via Meli Melo ($780)

Olivia Palermo

For the Salvatore Ferragamo show, though, Olivia opted for one of the brand’s own bags. Shop Ferragamo via Neiman Marcus

Shea Marie

My favorite thing about Shea Marie is that she manages to make every approach to a fashion show look extremely dramatic, often hand in hand with Caroline Vreeland. Here, she’s attending the Fendi show with a Fendi Mini 3Jours Bag. Shop the Fendi Mini 3Jours Bag via Fendi ($2,550)

Thassia Naves

If you’re not familiar with Thassia, she’s a popular Brazilian blogger. In Milan, she carried the Dolce & Gabbana Lucia Bag to the brand’s show. Shop the Dolce & Gabbana Lucia Bag via Net-a-Porter ($2,295)

Tiffany Hsu

Gucci bags were particularly popular in Milan, even among stars attending the shows of other brands. Shop the Gucci Marmont Belt Bag via Gucci ($1,050)

We don’t know this young woman’s name (and neither did our photo agency), but we loved her Prada Cahier Velvet Bag enough to include them both. Shop the Prada Cahier Velvet Bag via Neiman Marcus ($2,680)

Yuwei Zhangzou

Last but not least, a second Gucci Marmont Belt Bag, this time in velvet. Shop the Gucci Marmont Belt Bag via Gucci ($980)
