Don’t let your Dior bags get too dusty, ladies
Coachella bag-spotting is my favorite kind of bag-spotting. Celebs are under an intense amount of pressure to seem "authentic" and "laid back" and "not overthink it" (that's your stylist's job), so their bag choices need to look like they were made off-the-cuff. Of course, you could submit yourself to the demands of festival-going and embrace up-and-coming brands like Potrol, who basically exist to accommodate your Coachella needs and ensure you don't get your identity stolen by the end of Beyoncé's first set. Alternatively, you could just make your Gucci handbag double as a belt, Lisa Rinna-style! The choice is yours. I cannot wait for next week's pics.
Here's Amber Rose, cruising around Coachella at the Neon Carnival with her crew. She's carrying a reflective Potrol Bow Belt Bag paired with a jumpsuit from Walter Van Beirendonck's menswear collection.
German fashion blogger Caro Daur is certainly not one to miss Coachella fashion blogging opportunities. Here she is taking in the breeze with her embroidered Dior Dioraddict Bag. Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective
And here she is again, posing nonchalantly with a leather and shearling version of the revamped Dior Saddle Bag. Only Dior will do for the desert. Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective
Catherine Zeta-Jones flew into LAX this weekend, but was NOT in route to Coachella, so far as we know. She's carrying a graffitied Chanel Messenger Bag from a few years ago. Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective
Also not appearing at Coachella this week: January Jones, seen here at LAX with a fabulous straw-adorned Chloé Pixie Bag. This bag looks like it was completely made for Coachella, TBH. Shop the Chloé Pixie Bag via MATCHESFASHION.COM ($2,190)
Kyle Richards did not miss out on the festivities this year, and she brought a teensy little black leather Chanel Flap Bag. It's always a good idea to keep it mini at festivals, bag-wise, so no one asks you to hold their drugs. Shop Chanel Bags via Vestiaire Collective
Real Housewife Lisa Rinna also made an appearance at Coachella, and take note, she is using the strap of her Gucci Marmont Bag as a belt! That's some serious desert-designer handbag ingenuity. Shop the Gucci Marmont Bag via Gucci ($1,790)
Finally, here's Olivia Culpo, who I think we can safely assume will never not appear at Coachella. She brought along a most appropriate vintage Louis Vuitton Montsouris Backpack. Shop Vintage Louis Vuitton Bags via Vestiaire Collective
