Remember the humble Rockstud? It hasn’t really gone anywhere, but it’s been a spell since we’ve seen celebs demonstrate the kind of affection for Valentino’s signature stud that we saw them demonstrate last week. The popular Valentino My Rockstud Tote seemed like an indication that the brand was moving in a more minimal direction, possibly towards a less Rockstudded future, but we doubt that’s happening any time soon. In fact, Valentino may be trying to reinvent the Rockstud. There are gold Rockstuds, for example, and Rockstud mini bags so encrusted with crystals that you don’t even really notice the studs.

As you can see, the “Rolling Rockstud” can be easily differentiated from the regular Rockstud because of the alternating turquoise stones. It’s far easier than differentiating Dakota Fanning from Elle Fanning, that’s for sure.
