It’s no secret that all of us here at PurseBlog have a thing for Senreve. The bags are chic and stylish yet functional and practical, and all at an affordable price. We’ve written about many of Senreve’s bags before, as they offer a few different shapes to suit many different needs, but we wanted to have a little fun with them this time around, and so we took some of our favorite bags from the brand to some of our favorite places around New York City to create a beautiful and fun color story. Senreve’s bags are sleek and classic—they’ll take you from season to season, and with so many stunning color options it can be hard to pick just one, but lucky for us, we didn’t have to. Senreve sent us a rainbow of colors and we had fun creating beautiful moments around NYC.
One of my favorite shapes from Senreve is the ever-popular Maestra. I personally own a Mini Maestra and absolutely love it. Full disclosure here—Senreve generously gifted me an ice blue Mini Maestra back in the spring and if you follow us on Instagram you’ve likely seen me out and about with her in tow all summer long! I’ve even gotten my roommate on the Senreve train too, and I’ve happily let her borrow my Mini Maestra.
I adore my Mini Maestra, and though it’s the perfect size for me—the original Maestra was just too large—I was excited to learn that Senreve recently added a midi size to the lineup. As goldie locks herself once said, there’s a Maestra that’s “just right'” for everyone. One of the reasons that I adore the Maestra most—size factor aside, because this goes for all three sizes—is the fact that it can be worn so many ways. I would say that I teeter back and fourth between wearing this as a backpack, or carrying it like a top-handle bag most, but it can also be worn as a shoulder bag, or worn crossbody. The straps are completely adjustable, and it works for all shapes and sizes. My roommate and I are the perfect example of this—I’m 5’9 and she’s 5’1, yet my mini works for both of us.

Inside there are multiple pockets, from a zippered compartment to multiple slit pockets in various sizes. You can read a more in-depth review of the Maestra here, but if you’re looking for a bag that does it all, then the Maestra is one to consider. It’s crazy-functional, and one of my favorite features is the small pocket on the back exterior of the bag. For the girl-on-the-go, this feature is almost essential. I can’t say enough great things about this bag, and of all the Senreve bags this is the one I’ve used the most and can personally tell you all how simply amazing it really is.
The Maestra comes in three sizes, Mini, Midi and the the largest—simply called the Maestra. Each size comes in a wide array of colors and leathers. The mimosa leather has a long-grain, bark-like finish, which makes the bag slightly stiffer than the pebbled, which is shown in both the tangerine mini we shot as well as the ice blue mini—shown below—that I own. Recently, Senreve introduced a smooth leather version in tan called smooth latte, which has more of a soft buttery finish according to Senreve’s website as we’ve yet to get a hold of one in person.

Another super functional, yet equally fabulous bag from Senreve is the Crossbody Bag, which can also be worn multiple ways. The bag can be carried sans strap as a clutch, or it can be worn using the chain strap, which works either singled or doubled. For a more casual, daytime look, you can affix the matching leather strap, and I like it this way the most with jeans, a tee and sneakers. Once again, there are multiple color options so this bags works great to create a pop to your simple jeans and tee look.

The lines on this bag are super sleek and pristine, and it’s different from a lot of other crossbody bags out there right now, which also makes it super interesting and buzz-worthy. Like the Maestra, the Crossbody comes in both pebbled leather and mimosa leather. It’s a great alternative to the mini-bags of the moment, as the multiple compartments mean you can carry a lot more than you might think, and once again Senreve has listened to my girl on the move cries and the Crossbody Bag also features my favorite back slit pocket. Another fun feature of the Crossbody bag is the bracelet pouch which is removable and interchangeable. Senreve has imagined it all when it comes to this bag, and all of its bags for that matter. With new leathers and shapes being introduced, Senreve has grown and expanded in its short life and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
I imagine this post must be sponsored by Senrev. I know Senreve has “gifted” almost every instagramer with one or more of their bags. I think they look bulky and uncomfortable to carry since the handles are not centered but on the back of the bag. I imagine the bag falling over when placed on a table. I see nothing chic or stylish. To me they are bulky and unattractive. I will definitely pass.
Every sponsored post is marked as such, and this post is not sponsored. We do work with many partners on an affiliate basis (including Senreve and others like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus).
No, sponsored and affiliate are not the same.
Take your own advice and re-read the original comment. Nancy said “I imagine this post must be sponsored”, and Megs answered ACCURATELY that it’s not sponsored, but in the interest of full disclosure added that Senreve is an affiliate. Affiliate and sponsored are indeed two different things. Megs answered honestly and did not mislead. You suggested that she was being shifty. She was actually being transparent. There is literally a postscript at the end of every post asking readers to use the site’s links when shopping. Seems clear enough that this site is not a non-profit, so, yeah, anyone with half a brain can “see” Megs and co. as they – you know – run a business.
Thank you! I’m glad it came across to you how I intended it to. I always try to be very upfront and answer people’s questions and take a lot of pride in being forthcoming with our readers.
And yes, this is a business we run with a small team that we work to keep going! Appreciate your support!
Cute. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. A “sponsored post” has a post script saying it’s being paid for by the described product/brand whereas this “feature” increases visibility for this brand and purseblog makes money if this brand is sold, because effectively, this is what Affiliate marketing is: Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. You find a product you “like”, promote it to others and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make.
I’ve noticed, as have you I’m sure, a lot of users complaining about the fact that this brand has been pushed everywhere: on every blog/blogger. I’m just clarifying for those users why that might be the case, and not -you know- because the ladies at purseblog find this brand so amazing they can’t help themselves but do feature after feature about it. That’s where it’s a little disingenuous, and again, we see you. I remember a time when Purseblog was on the bleeding edge, discovering new and exciting brands and exposing them to their loyal readership. This ain’t it, that’s all.
Affiliate marketing is not the same as a sponsored posts. We have the choice with affiliate marketing which vendor and item to write about with no obligations from the brand or vendor. We have never hidden that we work with affiliates, but to me it is entirely different from sponsored posts. I know you referenced that we used to be on the bleeding edge, just sharing that we were one of the very first publishers to run our own affiliate and have been doing so for well over 10 years, so this aspect of our business isn’t new.
A sponsored post means we are paid a flat fee – I am given that fee whether I send 0 sales, 10 sales, 100 sales, 1,000 sales. We have ALWAYS marked a sponsored post as such because to me that is not only against FTC rules not to disclose but also it would mean we lose credibility. I’m really up front when anyone asks questions and am happy to answer and share, and I do take a lot of pride in having our readers trust what it is I share.
I write about bags that I like – I write about bags that I’m interested in – and I write about new releases. Though many times I write about what I like, there are plenty of times I don’t. I started to write about Senreve soon after they launched. I personally really like the bags, but I also think some of you are really annoyed with this brand because it does look like it’s on majority of influencers on social media. Some of those I see marked as sponsored, but that doesn’t have anything to do with us or choices we make.
A lot of readers have expressed interested in the brand and I personally like the colors and we thought it would be interesting to shoot a color story. I think it came out beautifully (aesthetically) and I do think there are plenty who still would be interested in the brand. But I also have been focusing on finding other newer brands to share with you all. It doesn’t mean everyone will like what I share, but I read each comment and take them into consideration for what we do. Hope this helps clarify some!
That’s not what I said. re-read the comment.
So you are saying that this is not a “sponsored post” and in the same paragraph say that you take a percentage on their sales (that’s what an “affiliate” program is, essentially). We see you.
These bags just have way too much going on! Better brands out there.
This is probably the most over exposed bag campaign I’ve ever seen! No one wants this bag? it looks bizarre and bulky and way too over priced.
Wow, I am obsessed with this!! I have never seen such a bright orange work so well as a bag. And it’s a backpack!! I need one asap.
This bag looks extremely durable while also being super stylish. The colors seem extremely vibrant and of high quality!
Wow, I’ve never seen a more versatile bag! So it can be carried as a backpack, a crossbody and a handbag all with the same strap?? Unreal.
These colors are stunning! I’ve seen so many people with them.. so sleek and stylish — can’t wait to get my own.
I truly love my Mini Maestra, I use it so much! Which bag/color are you looking into?
This bag is terribly hideous and why so many regular posts?
Purse blog makes good money through sales, that’s why.
It’s definitely a beautiful work of art. The colors are so pretty and feminine. I don’t know how easily accessible my items would be, (depends on how you open it). I personally don’t like having to buckle and unbuckle every time I need to open and close my bag. I think this bag would stand up just fine. The bottom looks wide and flat. I would consider getting this bag in a pretty yellow or lilac.
I will say that is the one downside to the Maestra, especially when wearing it as a backpack, but then again that’s the issue with backpacks in general! I do genuinely love my Mini Maestra though and the accessibility factor doesn’t really deter me from using it. I wear it a ton!
Is the hardware on these silver or gold? Or does it depend on the bag color?
It depends on the bag!
I feel like some of these comments are from people who work for the brand ? what is going on with this company? If a bag is genuinely great, people will buy it.
If you send it to a 100 bloggers, and we see 100 sponsored posts in the same week, obviously shoppers are going to be suspicious. It’s just a strange marketing campaign, and a strange looking bag.
I just can’t get behind this brand. It looks unimaginative and boring while being grossly overexposed.
Thanks for posting this! I just came across your website and am really interested in the bag. The style is so unique- I love it!
The P*NIS bag. 🙂
What do you use, if anything, to maintain the pristine color on your bag? Pastels do not wear well.
The Ice Blue Mini-Maestra we shot belongs to me and I’ve gotten a ton of use out of it this spring/summer, while the others were brand samples sent to us by Senreve. That being said, I’m really careful with my bags, but Senreve’s leather also wears really well, which is one of the reasons I l really like them.
Not so much of a fan of the bags, but I LOVE that orange dress! May I get the deets on it, please? 🙂
It’s Ulla Johnson called the Camille Dress 🙂
Every time I see this bag pop up on IG, I roll my eyes. It’s ubiquitous among bloggers and “influencers.” In any case, for me personally it is not my jam on toast. It does look roomy and practical, I guess.
Ughhhhhhh they are getting so annoying. Still looks like a penis, still looks like a grumpy duck- I fancy the crossbody every now and then but holy crap Senreve is tiring me out.
Every time I see pots about this bag I am sure it’s a joke. This is THE most unattractive bag I’ve ever seen. Sorry.
I don’t understand why this brand is getting so much hate… I personally really like the look of the Mini Maestra Bag and would definitely wear the lilac color during the fall. I love that it is so functional and can be worn for a variety of occasions without looking too basic or too overdone.
I honestly don’t think the bag looks beautiful. I do believe the brand has spent a lot of money in promoting their bags. Yes, some consumers might find it good looking and probably will buy the bags simply they see the bag has been featured by many influencers. But to be fair I feel even a Kate Spade bag looks better and way more affordable than this brand. I’ll pass too.
Thank you for that. I’m trying to decide between the mini & the midi.
