A Closer Look

A Closer Look at the Senreve Crossbody Bag, Updated with New Modeling Photos

Incredibly cool and crazy functional, the Senreve Crossbody is my newest bag love

Last summer we introduced you to Senreve, and since then, we’ve been lucky enough to test out many of these bags for ourselves. The more we see, use, and wear, the more we love. When Megs first showed me her favorite styles from Senreve, I was intrigued by not only how unique each style was, but also how sleek and understated the designs were. I’ve used (and love!) the Mini Maestra, but I think my favorite style from the brand is the Senreve Crossbody Bag, and I’m excited to give you all a more in-depth look at this design. Not only is it super stylish and really cool—name another bag that looks like this if you dare!—but it’s also insanely user-friendly.

One of my favorite features of this bag—and just wait, I have many—is the fact that the top compartment is completely interchangeable, so if you love this bag enough to snag it in two shades (and I have a feeling you will), you can swap out the top pouch and mix and match colors. You can also use the pouch completely on its own, either as a bracelet clutch, or as an organizational tool for larger bags or totes, which I’ve done a couple of times already since I got this bag. One other really cool feature of this bag is the fact that you can unsnap the leather strip on the pouch and wear it as a bracelet, which I didn’t totally realize at first.

This crossbody bag truly does it all. You can completely remove the straps to use it as a clutch, or you can use one of the two straps it comes with. For a dressier look, use the chain strap, which is either gold or silver depending on the color you get, or dress it down for a daytime look with the leather strap. The leather strap is adjustable, so it can work to fit everyone, and the chain strap can also be worn doubled. See, I wasn’t kidding: this bag does more than double duty, or even triple duty—it really can do it all! The small pocket on the back of the bag is great for storing things you need quickly, like your ID or your train ticket, which is exactly how I make use of the outside pocket.

Inside, the bag is broken up into three separate compartments. The removable bracelet pouch has an inside zip and is the smallest compartment on the bag, while the other two compartments are slit style, though an outside flap with Senreve’s signature closure keeps your stuff secure. The leather on this bag—and all of Senreve’s bags, for that matter—is not only really nice to the touch, but it’s also incredibly great quality. Inside, Senreve’s signature light blue microsuede lines the bag, and there’s a bonus—it’s super stain-resistant. Overall dimensions are 10.25″ W x 8.5″ H x 0.75″ D, with a weight of 1.4 lbs. The bag is large enough to fit an iPad mini, along with everything else you’ll need for the day—you can see what I carried inside below, but I still had room to spare! You can snag one of your own for $495 via Senreve.
