When Bottega Veneta announced that it would replace beloved creative director Tomas Maier in favor of the young Daniel Lee in hopes of refreshing the brand, no one quite knew what exactly would come next. Now, four years later, Bottega Veneta is at the top of the handbag game, arguably one of the most popular brands of the moment. Today a successor has been named, but even with Matthieu Blazy at the helm of the brand, the fresh perspective provided by Lee remains. This foundation and direction provide a new sense of modernity that still pays respect to Bottega Veneta’s beautiful fifty-year heritage. Bottega Veneta has since become a household name amongst younger fashion lovers who once believed the bag’s brands to be too classic and safe. The brand has also seen financial growth and unprecedented momentum following this shift.
One of Lee’s most-loved designs, the Jodie, made its debut on the runway for the Spring 2020 season in a Maxi Intreccaito version, and when the Jodie hit stores in early 2020, a frenzy began. Bottega fans, both new and old, could not get enough of the Jodie, especially the Mini version, which was released in a myriad of fun colors, including Bottega Green. While the Jodie feels innovative and fresh, it also feels distinctly Bottega, crafted from the brand’s renowned Intrecciato leather. Said to be named after actress Jodie Foster, who was once photographed shielding herself from the paparazzi using a Bottega Veneta handbag, the Jodie’s fanfare is nearly unmatched. Quintessentially Bottega, with a modern appeal, the Jodie has become a staple in the handbag world. Available in various sizes and colors, with a new Teen version launched late last year, there’s a Jodie for everyone. Get all the details below.

Celebrities Who Love The Jodie

I know this bag has been everywhere, but I think it will be a timeless style long term for Bottega. There’s no hardware, just beautiful leather… and amazing colors. The mini (I own 2 and am a mother of a toddler) are so easy to use day to night. It sits effortlessly on your arm/wrist and really adds a lot to an outfit. Obviously the larger sizes are a great day time bag. The “small” fits easily on the shoulder, but the teen can go day to night and is easy to wear in the hand or on your forearm. 1000% recco, and I’ve returned and sold dozens of bags in the past b/c they weren’t that easy to use or felt like they would date easily.
This bag has been discussed ad nauseam! 😂 Next!
Seriously! I’m starting to hate it
