With each new season for Bottega Veneta, we get a further look into the vision that is Blazy’s Bottega. And it does not disappoint.
Last season, the collection presented was a final ode to Italy; the last installment of Blazy’s trilogy of Italia shows. Drawing on ancient mythology with a futuristic edge, a stunning parade of looks wowed the runway. This ending of one theme meant a new chapter for Bottega Veneta, and today, we’re taking a look at that vision.
The Journey of Bottega Veneta
This season, Bazy’s journey at the House of Bottega Veneta continues, combining influences from all over the world. His influences span both distance and time. There is an emphasis on the art of dressing, and pieces draw back to the joy and wonder of dressing without boundaries. Tailored pieces and intricate knits give way to drapey suiting and dramatic dresses.
There is an element of novelty and pieces that wow, but there are also many looks that feel like you could walk right off the runway and on with your day. That versatility comes from Blazy’s many inspirations this season, said to blend archetypes from all over the world. Details like leather newspapers from around the globe echo that as well, morphing into Foulard bags.
The Bags of Bottega Veneta Spring 2024
Other bags include massive iterations of Blazy’s debut bag for the house, the Sardine bag, which also appears in beautiful novelty versions as well. This season, it’s really all about the details, and in those details, you can spot the craftsmanship and thought that goes into each piece — that goes for the bags and the ready-to-wear, too. Other standouts include a paneled Hop bag consisting of various shades of ruched leather and lots of oversized Intrecciato pieces. View bags from the runway below.

The clothes especially costs are exquisite but the bags are boring and dull
Yes! The fabrics are glorious. I love the loose weaves. Some cool footwear, too. Bags are blah.
I absolutely love the coats
Oh no, the fringe is not good 🙁 Please don’t ruin BV!
Not for me….
I wonder how many crocodiles were used for that drawstring bag.
At least 4…?
So?
I love exotic leather. Can’t get enough but your point is? Are you a one of crazy animal activists?
‘Crazy animal activists’…Wow!
You must be an happy camper right now! Exotics seem to be everywhere this season. All over the runways and new arrivals at the stores. Nice to see some interesting textures.
Sooo happy I went with my gut and purchased the large Hop (same exact one you see on the runway here in fondant) instead of the small. There’s something kinda awkward and off about the small size, just not the vibe. I knew months ago that big bags were making a BIG comeback. As for the clothes, they were truly horrendous, think he’s trying way to hard to be different.
You are so full of yourself, so sad….
interesting, especially that huge Maroon(?) pouch. love it. some other big bag also great. mixed feeling with the fish handle thing. cute but might be uncomfortable?
