Summer is coming, and it’s coming fast! Don’t blink; you might miss it! While MDW kicks off summer in the city, which means the start to summer Fridays, drinks outdoors, tanning in the park, and more, the official start to summer comes with the summer solstice. The temps haven’t heated up just yet, but the bag heat certainly has! We thought it was time to head back all the way uptown to Gossip Girl’s territory: The Upper East Side. In early June, we spent an afternoon camped out by Bergdorf Goodman to see what stylish Upper East Siders were carrying as summer ramps up. I was admiring the beautiful Fendi Peekaboo bag, the woman’s gorgeous floral dress and then I saw the sign that said “Dear Neighbor pick up your dog shit”. 😂 Nonetheless, I really love these “street style bags” because there’s no modeling or pretentiousness, it’s just people going about their daily lives.

I think there’s a typo in the Peekaboo price – can’t say I’ve seen a Peekaboo go for less than four figures. I also laughed at the “Dear Neighbor” sticker – priceless!
That Von Dutch one looks tacky and I cannot take to Louis Vuitton at all. Like the YSL one, it’s classy. What’s the last one, Boot & Rabbit? Do New Yorkers run the risk of their bags being snatched, is it a problem? So much fancy stuff on display!
