New year, new cities coming your way! We headed down south to Austin, Texas for our latest installment of Bags in the Wild to bring you a little bit of southern bag charm. During the holiday season last month, one of our photographers spent an afternoon roaming around Austin to see what southerners’ style had to offer.

From Austin’s South Congress and the 2nd St District, we saw plenty of shoppers and strollers out and about with their best bags in tow. We spotted a slew of Louis Vuitton and some gems from Chloé, Hermès, and Saint Laurent too!

Of course, there were a few mysteries thrown in there too, so let us know if any of them look familiar to you! Check out the many bags we spotted in Austin, Texas below, and let us know which city you’d like to see us head to next!

+1000. It feels like you’re traveling in a tiny way, while lockdowns come and go and we’re stuck at home 🙂

So glad to be able to continue this series! Our goal this year is to further it with more photographers and videographers across the globe!

It’s so nice to see people carrying what they love. Tbh, it’s more authentic and relatable than posts about “celebrities” or “influencers”. I know some people love those, but for me these are the best! 👛

That’s no way to treat a beautiful bag, not to mention some cultures view it as bad luck to place your handbag on the ground.

Hi! I took this photo. It was actually hanging from a hook! The photo just makes it look like it was touching the ground. 😉

I can see that now, thanks, For me that is still too close to the ground and getting kicked. When I’m sitting like that I keep my crossbody on but move it off to the side out of my way. That’s why I like them. I do appreciate places that have handbag hooks.

Yes, I thought it was on the ground, but looked closer and discovered that it wasn’t. Initially, it gave me anxiety because I can’t stand it when people put their bags on the floor in a restaurant, etc. Once, I saw a woman put her Birkin 35 on the floor in a restaurant! I wanted to run over and rescue it! 😂

Loved this, having recently moved from Austin. It’s nice to see a variety of bags instead of the usual suspects!

Thank you for including mystery bags. I was hoping to see lesser-known bags alongside Chanel, Vuitton, etc that we see a lot on this site.

The third to last Mystery pic looks like a Prada, but for sure the last orange pic is rag & bone!

That champagne campaign t-shirt deserves special mention. Haha… I love this series because it just transcends so many issues we face today reminding us that no matter where we are and what we do, we still love the same things and react the same way.

That YSL LouLou looks like the mini size but I don’t recognize that chain. I wonder if she replaced the strap with a third-party chain.
