Those of you who don’t live in New York may have this fairytale idea in your head of what the city is like when it snows. You’d be right—kind of. Yes, it truly is magical to wake up and look out your window or walk your dog and see the city streets blanketed in snow. And if you’ve ever found yourself out for dinner on a chilly evening when the flakes begin, you know what I mean when I say the still, quiet car ride home when you’ve finished your last hot toddy is something out of a movie.
However, there’s a part of snowstorms in the city that only the true New Yorkers can commiserate over, and that’s the post-storm melt fest. It’s slushy, sludgy, dirty and a twisted ankle waiting to happen. Still, there’s a giddiness to the very first snow of the season, and this winter, it happened on the first Friday morning of the year. We were there to see what New Yorkers were carrying as they braved the winter weather. A stroll through Central Park and the Upper East Side saw plenty of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and a slew of others too.

looove the jumbo chevron chanel
Always a favorite. Love seeing what people risk taking in the snow. Different climates different bags. And the mystery section is fun.
Loveeeeee
I adore this series! The woman with the vintage chevron Chanel Jumbo and the one with the Saint Laurent Sunset bag, STUNNING!!!!!
The last picture of the brown flap bag with the fur Pom Pom is a Michael Kors Collection bag. Can’t remember which one but I think it’s part of the Skorpios family.
❤️❤️❤️ these posts. It’s wonderful to see how at live in our real lives! Thanks Kaitlin
The logos remind me of logos on appliances on some of the bags…wish they were more subtle on bags and appliances!
The only one I liked was the Dior tote!
Channel flap and Saint Laurent sunset. How do you get these photos though?
Our team in NYC shoots these photographs on the streets of NYC.
Oh nice
Love the red color of the puffer coat of the person with the Gucci Horsebit 1955 Mini Bag❣
The first one is Chloe, I think
love the sensible functional bag choices here – refreshing a post not pushing the latest trendy bag$$

Same ol’ brands, same ol’ bags.
