It may not always be fashion week in New York, but that doesn’t mean there is ever a lack of great street-style bags to be had. NYFW came to its inevitable end, but we hit the streets to check in with everyday New Yorkers to see what they’ve been carrying since summer has begun to wind down. September is in full swing, and the fall equinox begins today, which means summer is officially over.
*Le sigh*
I don’t know about you, but I can barely believe it! Even still, we’re big fans of fall fashion, and a new season means one major thing: new bags for us to marvel at! The weather in New York is still warm, meaning we’ve got a couple of weeks before we really see fall fashion ramp up, but for now, check out what New Yorkers carried while out and about last week in SoHo with an IRL sighting of Saint Laurent’s latest bag!
I can’t with that YSL tote. Trash bag vibes and not in a good way. Lanvin did it better.
It’s an MZ Wallace bag with a YSL logo. Definitely not worth $4,500.
The stupid logo … ruins it.
Agree. Tacky. So is the Burberry bag that says, “BURBERRY!!!!!”
yeah, what’s up with the screaming logos these days? the chanel 22 also has that tacky kind of oversized spelled-out logo
For me it’s ridiculously oversized.
If you wear bags to the back like that in Paris you’ll lost your wallet in no time lol, NYC seems much safer!
I know right, that’s my impression and experience in Paris… It’s so sad such a beautiful place scares people off of crimes
There is definitely crime in NYC (and with the pandemic there has been an increase of instability), but it is not rampant, as the media sometimes portrays. Also, pickpockets are not so much an issue in NYC, like they’re in large European cities, so many New Yorkers wear crossbody bags on their side or behind them for comfort. Even many men in NYC carry their wallets in their pockets.
I thought the exact same thing: pickpocket’s (or worse!) delight.
I often think these women are targets with their expensive bags and wonder if they ever get hassled in high crime and high foot traffic areas like nyc. I leave my exp stuff at home when out and about in nyc. My sons friend had a menacing guy demand he give his cell phone to him and then ran off with it so I think with bags worth 3 to 4x watch out.
I regularly carried my expensive bags when living in NYC and never had anything stolen.
