As spring drags on, teasing the start of summer, New Yorkers have finally become accustomed to at least a few sunny days each week. The nice weather has been a tease at times, with showers and clouds in the mix more than we’d like to see just a week out from MDW! Nonetheless, the nice days mean New Yorkers take full advantage, which for us means that sun = great bag watching!
We sent Vladi out earlier this month to see what the streets had in store for us, and this batch of bags did not disappoint! Trusty totes were the shape of choice this go-round, with fan favorites like the Louis Vuitton Neverfull, Chanel Deauville, Dior Book Tote, and more popping up.

I don’t know why but I LOVE to see the LV x Jeff Koons bags in the wild. They were met with so much vitriol when they were released that now they have their own kind of mythical status.
Same. Years ago, I was in a LV store in Paris with my bestie who pays no attention to bags and cannot afford them. She fell in love with the Monet. I was one of the people who hated the bags but I said nothing negative and told her that if she loved it, I’d help her buy it. Bestie’s first and only designer bag is a Monet LV. She loves it. Over the years that bag has grown on me. I have never seen one of the LV X Koons bags in the wild other than hers. Seeing this one was cool.

I don’t find that it slides much. It’s fairly roomy, I can fit my phone, cardcase, sunglasses and even a paperback book!

I wish I could feel so carefree to carry my bag opened & over my shoulder. However, since I was robbed in Times Square it makes me always carry crossbody’s with my hand firmly on top of them.
I’m living only for the day I show up here with my YSL oversized tote.
