A few weeks ago, I was shopping at my local Whole Foods and heading down the escalator to enter the store. Across from me, on her way up the escalator, was a mom chatting with her young daughter.
And to my complete and utter surprise, she was carrying the exact same bag I was carrying that very moment. But when I say surprise, I mean, I nearly screamed BAG TWINS!!!! because she was carrying the lesser-known (to the American market) Le Tanneur Emie. In my very same color!
The two things that kept me from yelling at her are that 1) I didn’t want to scare her while on an escalator with her child, and 2) I think I was in shock. I mean, I thought I was seeing things wrong and was staring at my own bag in the mirror; it actually took me a while to process what happened.
With that being said, Le Tanneur is one of the brands I became more enthralled with last year. My Emie bag(s) were a rotation staple, and still are one of my go-to bags because of their beautiful leather, interior organization, and different styles.

Recently ordered the Emilie medium in twilight blue. Looking forward to getting it. Also purchased the DEMELLIER Hudson. Haven’t decided if I like the leather but it is well made especially considering the price point.
