Bag Battle: Jil Sander Spring Market Bags

The Jil Sander Market bag may be entirely simplistic, but the design continues to garner attention. Amanda compared this bag to Maison Martin Margiela already and now I am going to have this Jil Sander bag battle itself. With many renditions coming out, it is time to hear what you all think.

The simple design appeals to a large crowd, which shows that not everyone craves massive amounts of additional hardware, tassels, and straps. Above is the floral print silk twill, bright pink leather, and green and white striped silk twill versions. At first I didn’t think I cared for this bag, but over time it has grown on me. And of the options above I really love the idea of the brightly colored floral one. What about you? Prices vary from $695 to just under $800 for leather.

I like the leather, but for that price? No way…..I feel like I need some hardware or something to make me pay more than 400 for a bag…

I love the floral print-its beautiful and happy. The silhouette of the bag is just so easy and wearable. I would have fun with it for sure!

Oh yes…tonight (Monday) on PBS…the debut of an amusing documentary called “Bag-It” about the perils of plastic bags and plastic in general…..a must see….very good, very interesting and very enlightening.

love this site and the floral print is wonderful. For all you bag lovers out there (which I assume are on this website) do you think this bag on ebay is the real deal. I’m wanting to bid on it but don’t want to end up with a dud!

I lvoe the floral print on the dress and the stripes on shirts and pants too, but I think that the leather pink bag is the best!

I absolutely love reusable grocery bags! The floral is a little bit too busy. I love the green and white striped bag, but it would get dirty quickly in the city. The pink is gorgeous.
