Get sporty with the Diane von Furstenberg Drew python-effect leather tote

I spent the vast majority of my life as a competitive athlete. In fact, PurseBlog wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for me being an athlete; Vlad and I met on our college swim team. The day I was done swimming, I was done swimming. Actually I was done working out entirely. I was burned out and ready to veg out on the couch for years.

Recently, I started to get the urge to get back in shape and going to the gym involves picking out a gym bag, which was a great way to entice myself. Right when I spotted the Diane von Furstenberg Sporty Drew python-effect leather tote, it struck my fancy. Easy to use as your city-schlepping bag, this bag will look cute while being practical to carry workout essentials.

I love the colorblocking aspect to the tote, with a grey python-effect leather body, black leather trim, white top handles, and a bright pink shoulder strap. The size is large enough to fit a change of clothes, food, water, sneakers, but it is not one of those hold-everything-and-anything gym bags. That is what I like about this tote, it is cute and practical. Buy through Net-A-Porter for $850.

Hm, a python look on a gym bag strikes me as odd.

I would wear this to the gym every single day! Love the neutral gray and black with the pop of color pink on the strap. If my husband wouldn’t kick me out for spending over $800 on a gym bag, this would be mine!

Love it!

Hmm. I love – LOVE – the colors used here (gray, black, and pink) and the general look of this bag. But the combination of python and the sporty plastic(?) shoulder strap is odd. Very odd. And… my husband would divorce me, if I used a $850 bag for the Gym.
