Mulberry Leather Bayswater Bag

There is something about an earthy understated bag that is so practical and perfect for so many. Many times we are all so caught up with the newest trends, that we forget many people manifest their handbag desires in a great everyday bag. Mulberry deserves much credit for their sturdy simple designs that get the job done and do not add too many additions to make the bag detract from its intent. The Mulberry Leather Bayswater Bag uses a earthy warm ‘oak Darwin’ colored leather to make a handbag that is easy for everyday use. The two handles make this a perfect tote and there is a gold buckle fastening on the front. A flap closure, internal pockets, and adjustable side straps that give a little more room in the bag finish it off. There is also a chance the bag can fit under the arm nicely. Just under $1000 at NAP, this bag is sure to be a stunning bag for the gal who just needs to use a handbag (unlike those of us who have growing collections!).

   This is definitely my next bag. It is pure, understated elegance. Timeless. Chic. Easy. I’ll never get tired of it and will always look fabulous. I’ve had my eye on it for quite some time.

It’s appalling to me that so many designers make obvious imitations of the Birkin, all the while complaining about the counterfeit industry.

It totally does look like a country girl’s version of the birkin, doesn’t it? i like it a lot but i think, in the end, i’d rather wait and save a few hundred bucks more for a Tod’s.

How does this work as a work bag? Anyone use it for toting files and/or a small laptop?

The price of this one is just right. Quality is great and the style is classic. The Birkin to me is too frilly and waaayyy to expensive.

Got my first Mulberry today in bronze.

I’m probably getting a patent one today, I LOVE this bag and so what if it’s Birkinish, who said they are the only company allowed to make a double handle tote style like this?? Chanel, Miu Miu, LV just to name a few have come out with styles close to Hermes birkins and kelly’s. I think the Bayswater has a classic look but with quite a different flavor to it than the Birkin, I don’t think it’s trying to be a knockoff and looks more natural on some women style wise then a Birkin would, myself included.

This is not an everyday bag. Can you imagine checking out at a grocery store with a child in tow while you’re trying to open the flap of this bag? Ugh! So inconvenient! I would not buy it.

Have had mine for years. I no longer use any of my other bags — just love the Bayswater. Perfect size — you can put a book or two in it or even a small laptop. It has gotten the inevitable rubs and marks but just looks all the better for it. Have stopped wanting new bags except perhaps another Bayswater.
