Here’s Reese Witherspoon, performing random acts of Reese Witherspoon-ness in LA, all while carrying a Bulgari Serpenti Tote. (The name of the bag won’t make any sense unless you look closely at those enameled palladium snake handles and that sneaky little snake-head zip pull.) You can currently find Reese’s exact bag in beautiful black nappa leather for $3,250 at Bulgari.

Here’s Ms. Taylor Swift, taking her daily constitutional around the isle of Manhattan, carrying a sky blue Bulgari Isabella Rossellini Bag and wearing metallic Louboutins. Pricey handbag/cute dress/towering pumps is now T-Swift’s daily uniform. (I haven’t seen this girl in a pair of pants in at least two months.) You can find Taylor’s bag in burgundy red palmellato calf leather for $3,150 at Bulgari.

Here’s Maggie Gyllenhaal, arriving at the New York premiere of the new indie flick Very Good Girls, carrying both a Celine Trio Bag and a Bulgari Serpenti Bag. (Note the snake’s head clasp.) We approve of this kind of double-dipping.

As you might have noticed, we have our mothers on our minds this week, and in advance of Mother’s Day, we’ve decided to dedicate this week’s Want It Wednesday to the things we’d buy for our moms if our budgets were open-ended.

Of all the celebrities we’ve profiled in our Many Bags series, Emmy Rossum might have more relatable personal style than any of them. The way that Emmy dresses is the way that a lot of women want to dress – feminine, pulled together but not too precious.

When it comes to handbags at the Oscars, stars usually play it safe; the stage is huge, and in general, none of them want to take a risk that lands them in a spot to be ridiculed. The handbag choices at the 2014 Academy Awards followed in that line of thought, but there were a few pieces here and there (in addition to a lot of traditional prettiness) that made our evening bag spidey senses tingle.

The third leg of fashion’s seasonal four week journey around the globe as come to a close, and as always, Milan Fashion Week Fall 2014 brought out a cadre of celebrities both Italian and international, all carrying leather goods from Italy and beyond.

The Golden Globes are my favorite awards show. Not only does the convivial atmosphere make for memorable moments (Emma Thompson taking the stage with Louboutin heels and maritini in hand, anyone?), but because the Globes are ever-so-slightly less formal than the Academy Awards, attendees are a little more daring with both their dresses and, of course, their evening bags.

Although I don’t watch Pretty Little Liars myself, I seem to be in the minority among the PurseBlog team, as well as among my friends in general. When Gossip Girl started to lose its luster, a lot of women who were looking for a similarly soapy good time started watching the ABC Family show, but don’t let the network’s name fool you – the PLL’s appeal seems to go far beyond the tweens and teens that you’d expect.

So here’s something interesting: At the Golden Globe Awards two weeks ago, our expert analysis (that would be me, squinting at paparazzi photos for several hours) found that Roger Vivier’s evening bags won the day as handbag of choice for the widest variety of starlets.
