Edie Parker SS15-4

During New York Fashion Week, we were lucky enough to drop by Edie Parker’s presentation to check out what the brand has coming for Spring 2015. If you’re a fan of designer Brett Heyman’s retro-modern acrylic evening bags, you’ll no doubt be a fan of what’s to come: more colors, shapes and inlaid designs.

Milan Fashion Week Spring 2014 Celebrity Handbags

This year, London Fashion Week got compressed down to nearly nothing and we found ourselves looking down the barrel of the Milan Fashion Week collections before we even knew what hit us. Ultimately, though, that’s okay–MFW brought out tons of fashion industry insiders, basically all of whom were carrying pretty bags at which to gawk.

Hermes-30cm-Matte-Himalayan-Nilo-Crocodile-Birkin-with-Diamond-Hardware

Want It Wednesday Olive Stuffs and Things

We’re still in the foundational phase of fall wardrobe-building, and that includes finding wear-anywhere pieces in colors that aren’t neutrals, exactly, but that function as such while still providing a little bit of visual variation to an outfit. Burgundy is a great example of one such color, and today, we’re turning our attentions (and our Want It Wednesday) to olive.

A big part of that slowdown comes from consumers’ apparent ambivalence toward Prada’s bags; the category, which is among the brand’s most important, is down 5% so far this year. It’s questionable where the brand’s Spring 2015 collection, which debuted only days after this news emerged, can help. Read More…
