You guys seemed to dig our debut of The International Edit last week, and since we like to keep our Internet friends happy (IRL friends, too, but mostly Internet friends), we’re here to bring you another dose of the bet new arrivals and fashion finds from the finest International retailers in the land. Or in other lands, actually. Their lands are different than our lands.
If you haven’t been able to get your paws on a Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag (or tote, or clutch), you’re not alone. Demand has far outpaced supply for the young New York-based brand, but with a new season nigh, new shipments are expected at retailers in late February. Those shipments will include the bags that are already sought-after, like the red-lined Bucket Bag, but the duo behind Mansur Gavriel also has some new interior tricks up their sleeves for spring.
I love buffalo plaid. It’s almost always red and black, which is my favorite color combination, and I’m already a pretty big appreciator of plaid, both on my person and on the persons of male-type people. Considering that, my affection for the Jack Spade Dipped Buffalo Check Utility Tote isn’t exactly shocking. If you or your man is sick of staid, neutral man bags but still want a classic look, this tote is a perfect option.
It’s Fabulous Friday, everyone! Many of us have had weather challenges this week, and we hope you all wrapped things up safely and can enjoy a weekend at home, perhaps visiting the PurseForum! To help you find your way, we have selected some gems from this week’s conversations to get you started with the PurseForum Roundup. Thanks for joining us!
Diane Kruger was recently spotted doing a little shopping in West Hollywood with the Jason Wu Daphne 2 Snakeskin Satchel. From a distance, that snakeskin pattern looks like a fine tweed, but it is in fact a most unusual spotted, black and white “watersnake” skin, which is a much less expensive alternative to python, and the pricepoint of this bag would certainly indicate as much.
Another week (and month, basically) has come to a close, and with it comes our weekly dose of the Internet’s best bag deals. Don’t let the end of sale season get you down – we’ve scoured the Internet, including a few of our international favorites, to find the best, most tempting accessories the web has to offer. Yesterday, a friend of the blog tipped us off to these pictures of Kelly Osbourne, handbag lover and recent Many Bags subject, landing at Heathrow Airport while carrying what, on first glance, appeared to be an Hermes Birkin defaced with all kinds of weird, quasi-explicit patches. It wouldn’t be the first time that a Birkin received some embellishment, but it would definitely have been the most amateurish (and least artful) that we’ve seen in the recent past.
Here’s actress Kate Hudson, “out and about” for reasons unknown in NYC, carrying a beautiful, coral pink M2Malletier Fleur du Mal Clutch. M2Malletier is a small brand, but its angular, metal-handled, calf leather clutches have become sought-after favorites of the fashion crowd. The brand’s current season is completely sold out, but you can pre-order the bag in “Jungle Green” for Pre-Fall 2014 via Moda Operandi for $1,495 (but only till Feb 3rd, so act fast).
