Vera Bradley Sale Summer 2015

I was chatting with Amanda about Vera Bradley bags earlier today, and we realized that we both own them. Amanda has had one of the brand’s popular duffel bags since college, and it’s the perfect hauler, holding a bunch of items without getting heavy. I got mine when, a few years ago, I went to a theme park with friends and popped into a Vera Bradley store to buy a lightweight bag for a long day at the park. I don’t carry that bag often, but I carry it when I know I need something to hold my items and be lightweight. I also have a travel tote from Vera Bradley that works great as a carryon.

Not only are Very Bradley bags lightweight, but the brand offers a lot of options (not just paisley, though many think of paisley) and the prices can’t be beat. Right now, Vera Bradley is running a big sale, and I found some of my favorite bags, all under $65 via Vera Bradley–that’s an insanely good deal for travel bags, especially right at the start of summer.

Earlier this week, Bloomberg reported a little bit of good news for handbag lovers and Prada aficionados alike: the brand plans to ramp up its selection of bags under €1,200, which translates to around $1,400USD.

While Resort 2016 shows aren’t quite over yet–resort and pre-fall, unlike fall and spring, don’t have designated weeks in which the shows occur–things are definitely winding down, and almost all of the major brands have shown us what they’ve got. We combed through dozens of shows and lookbooks, and based on what we found, we’ve compiled a guide to all the bags you need to know.

PurseBlog Picks 6.18.15 Our Picks page is filled to the brim with new items, including many that are marked down for sale season! Just in time for summer, I’ve shared some of my favorite sandals that can be both dressed up and dressed down. Red and blue bags are perfect for the summer months, as well as casual sneakers. A crisp white dress or jumpsuit dresses up your summer look, and I picked two of my favorites. There will be many more items added today, so keep checking back to the Picks page for more!

We’ve always adored the Céline Classic Box Bag, and this week, celebs are reminding us why we love it so much. Even though it was temporarily eclipsed by the Luggage Tote for a year or two (or three), the Box may be a more enduring style.

Ghurka ROVER No 66 Mink Suede

We recently had a member of the PurseBlog team visit Ghurka to check out the brand’s bags, and while it’s still a brand I don’t know well, I realized we haven’t covered them since the early PurseBlog days. Ghurka is not a newcomer, but it deserves a reintroduction to PurseBlog.

Circus-by-Sam-Edelman-Espadrille-Flats We are letting our shoes do the talking this week over on TalkShoes with this pair of Sam Edelman espadrilles. Kim Kardashian has some of the best brows in the business, and she was spotted getting them done at Anastasia Salon in Beverly Hills in a luscious pair of Alexander Wang Antonia Sandals. We’re all about staying on budget this summer, and these everyday flat sandals are all under $500! Lastly, don’t forget to shop last weekend’s best shoe deals before it’s too late!

We talk about Chanel‘s seasonal bags at length, but some of the brand’s most-loved accessories fly under the radar in the “small leather goods” category. That includes the Chanel Wallet On Chain, which is precisely what it sounds like–a large wallet with the brand’s popular leather-woven shoulder strap, which can be carried as a small purse if the wearer is willing to sacrifice the bulky contents of her regular bag.

By now, we know two things to expect from any Valentino collection: the detailing is going to be incredibly rich and intricate, and you’re going to find some studs here and there. The Valentino Resort 2016 bag collection is heavier on the former than the latter, but it’s still pure, unadulterated Valentino.

Wednesday is one of our favorite days because we get to bring you great bags and accessories from eBay. We have two great Chanels (one vintage and one current), some lovely jewelry and, of course, lots of bags. Happy shopping! Read More…
