Last week, I kicked off one of my mornings in an ultimate dream by having an intimate breakfast in the Bloomingdale’s Lexington Avenue flagship before the store opened. This breakfast was hosted by DKNY and Lauren Bush Lauren of FEED, whose mission is to create good products that help FEED the world, literally. I’ve been well aware of FEED bags for quite some time, noting different versions on the hands of celebrities and passersby alike. With a multitude of versions, seeing the newest FEED bag and the idea behind it is always exciting.
This time famed brand DKNY partnered with FEED to create the DKNY x FEED Survival Collection, which consists of three different items including a diaper bag, survival tote, and rain boots.
While I’ll get into the details of the two bags in a second, it’s the rain boots that instantly drew my attention. I have a pair of Hunter Boots, much like everyone else does, but I always find them cumbersome and heavy. The DKNY x FEED City Survival Rain Boots not only fold up into themselves and have a handy bag for carrying, but they also equal high-protein emergency food for 25 children. Price is $115.
The FEED survival tote that I was tote-ally digging (har har I know that was so lame) helps provide 100 children with high-protein, high-energy, vitamin-enriched emergency food. This is the bag I adore, there are tons and tons of pockets including a special pocket for the DKNY x FEED umbrella that comes with the bag. The material is lightweight and I dig the black bag for everyday carrying. Price is $220.
Lastly, there is the FEED Diaper Bag, which provides micronutrients for both mothers and children. FEED has never made a diaper bag and saw this as a great opportunity in their partnership with DKNY. This is a diaper bag that any dude wouldn’t be scared to carry as well, and that is what helped it stick out in my mind. Price is $220.
