Chloe Paddington Hobo

Many wonder if the infamous Chloe Paddington has had its time and is over. Not in my opinion, but really, how many styles of this handbag can you make? I love my Paddington, I love my Paddington Tote, but this Chloe Paddington Hobo lacks the oversized (and possibly harmful) shape that I have come to know and love. Sure the stunning and lush leather is unbelievable, the green and ivory colors are divine, but the size is just puny. It is puny enough to make me want to feed it a Hungry Jack meal and put it to bed to rest up and grow big and tall. At least the paddlock is there to comfort us and let us know this bag is a bit familiar. Maybe, on the body, this style is stunning, but to me, it just makes me shrug. Via Saks for $1585.

Chloe Edith Messenger Handbag Personally, if it were up to me, not only would everything be hands-free, but it would all be plain and simple free. Seeing that the latter won’t happen, I will still indulge in this move towards a hands free society. Luckily if you have a messenger/hands-free handbag you do not look nearly as weird as the Bluetooth in ear cell phone talkers. I know many of you may have this, and many of you may need this because of state laws, but I must admit you look silly and I swear you are all schizo and talking to yourselves. The hands-free bag that has my attention right now is the Chloe Edith Messenger Handbag. For spring/summer 2007 the hands free trend is raging and it makes me totally happy to see Chloe release an Edith with its calfskin leather and removable shoulder strap. Choices are clutch. Available in all the colors of the rainbow via Luisaviaroma for $1,246.

Chloe Large Bay Handbag

You know the feeling that someone is staring at you? I got that feeling this morning and woke up to the pool man outside my window (kind of creepy) and got that feeling again looking at a the Chloe Large Bay Handbag later. All in all, my day has been filled with creepy staring. Chloe is known for its Paddington and Silverado, and recently has tried to introduce Betty and some others into the scene. Similar in shape, size, and look to the Paddington, the Chloe Large Bay Handbag features olive green leather and leather pull tabs that add a facial expression. I’d rather not feel like I am being stared at when I carry my handbag everyday, rather I would like people to stare at my beautiful handbag (not have the bag stare back). Don’t tell me you do not see the face? Creepy and funny all at once. For an unaltered picture and to buy a bag that can be your side kick (literally) visit Browns for $2318.

Chloe Haley Shoulder Handbag

Chloe Haley Shoulder Handbag

You are looking at a Philo-free Chloe handbag that isn’t terribly ugly. The leather looks soft, smooshy, molestable, and yet sheeny enough to maintain some glamour even in a basic brown. The chain handle is chic and very now, and the hardware is quirky without being insane. Best of all, unlike a number of the newer Chloe’s, the Chloe Haley Shoulder Handbag doesn’t have CHLOE plastered across her face. Yet I’m not getting out my credit card. My wallet-grabbing hand hasn’t even twitched. It isn’t even because of the strange buckle clasp – I think it might work on another bag. It’s just that this is a Chloe, and in that family, well, this is the plain little sister. She’s all dressed up in the latest trends – shiny leather, chains, buckles – but she lacks the natural beauty and individuality of her sisters, and she will never have my love. She’s cute, and were she not a Chloe, I might give her more of a chance, but I would rather take sweet Betty or dear Edith out to dance. And fine, the strange coins are not my favorite as far as pointless embellishments go. I’d take a 4-pound padlock over them any day. In any case, if you think she’s the one for you, pre-order the Haley at Saks for $2,080. Available in brown or black, and she’s no cheap date.

Jenny McCarthy Chloe Paddington Satchel

I must really be out of it, because I actually had no idea that Jenny McCarthy is with Jim Carrey?! Nevertheless, the weird match (weird to me) has been enjoying their European vacation after attending TomKat’s wedding. Also, weird to me that they were at the wedding to begin with. Fab Sugar did some fashion research and pin pointed the outfit Jenny sported. Long and casual yet chic and girly, the C&C California Striped A Liner Tunic is perfect to make you look hot without trying (via ShopBop for $245). The perfect bag to go with the attitude the sweater brings and the laid back look Jenny is going for is the Chloe Paddington Padlock Satchel (via Neiman Marcus for $1620). This satchel also combines supple leather with a trendy addition. The Paddington handbags have been around for a few seasons, but are not going anywhere fast. Their simple design and chunky hardware make them perfect for different ages and casually cool.

Thanks Fab Sugar for the Jenny McCarthy outfit breakdown!

Botkier Bianca Leather Satchel Chloe Betty Satchel

Dun dun dun… it is the battle of the satchels! Today you will be the judge of the bag that wins this contest. On the left we have the Botkier Bianca Leather Satchel while on the right we have the Chloe Betty Satchel. Both of these handbags use supple plush leather and pair two front pockets to give the bag a casual but swanky feel. The Botkier bag is designed with ivory leather and golden hardware. There are double shoulder straps along with a zip top closure. Dimensions are 7 1/2″H x 14 1/2″W x 5 1/2″D. The Chloe Betty Satchel showcases gray leather along with silver metal hardware. This satchel also has a shoulder strap with rings and a zip top. Measurements of this bag are a bit larger at 16″H x 17″W x 6″D. Accenting the Botkier bag are tassel pull tabs while a zip top coin purse adorns the Chloe bag. To me both of these handbags look quite similar and offer many of the same things. You be the judge of who wins the battle of the satchel. I won’t give away the price, but when you do see it, you most likely will chose one bag over the next. Botkier via Saks and Chloe via Saks.

Chloe Large Edith Bowling Bag

One of the latest ‘it’ bags from the house of Chloe was the Edith. The Edith handbag implemented beauty and simple design to leave many women going crazy. Chloe is known for releasing many different versions of their bags that are a huge hit (think of all the different Paddington’s). The Chloe Large Edith Bowling Bag combines divine chocolate brown leather with a bowling style frame and silver hardware. Chloe bags are not for everyone though; I know many people who feel the oversized stitching and appendages are too much. But Chloe bags fit my style perfectly, so this bag really has me swooning. There is a pouch pocket on the bottom front with a silver fastening and a panel around the base of the bag. Buy this chocolatey version of the Edith through Net-A-Porter for $1,660.

Chloe Large Edith Satchel

Last night was a semi-electric scare for me. Most of the world is experiencing this unbelievable heat wave and I went to an apartment that was 95 degrees with no electric last night. First I wanted to cry, then I chilled out a bit and sat there looking at my toes and realizing I needed a pedicure, and 4 hours later the power was back on. YAY! This ordeal warrants a new bag (so kidding, but that would be nice).

Chloe has been striking gold in the world on handbags, first with the Paddington then with the Edith. The next version on the block is the Chloe Large Edith Satchel. This version of the Edith is a satchel style in lush chamois leather. Silver metal hardware and top handles finishing off the main additions to this beauty. My favorite parts are the drawstring gussets, the slouchy and roomy shape, and the thick tonal topstitching. Other features are the already known side buckled details, leather tassel pull tab, and a front buckled strap. Overall this beauty measures 7 1/2″H x 15″W x 7″D. I love it. Available via Saks for $1430.

Chloe Paddington Wallet

The original Paddington – check, the Large Paddington, check – a Paddington wallet… Shoot! I knew something was missing. If you can’t already tell, I love Chloe Paddingtons – and all of the variations in between. The chunky hardware and grained leather is exactly my style. Now I just need to add a matching wallet into the mix. The Chloe Paddington Leather Wallet is available in a variety of color options and has a small lock to make it a true Paddington branded accessory. Chloe offers you a variety of leather colors, including gray, camel, silver, chocolate brown, and anthracite. There is a press stud fastening pocket on the front and a silver zip fastening around the sides. Upon opening, you will find credit card slots (I do wonder how many) and a zip fastening for loose change (who even carries that nowadays!!). If you love the Paddington trend, like I do, buy one of these hot wallets via Net-A-Porter for $615.
