There has not been as much hype for a Chloe bag since the highly sought after and coveted Paddington. Which bag am I referring to? The Chloe Paraty of course. This bag was first spotted on celebs, namely Katie Holmes. Once seen, the buzz began over this casual cool bag. Once it was figured out to be the Chloe Paraty Bag in python the masses began calling Chloe boutiques to get their names on a wait list. Our UK readers have a little treat though, as the Chloe Paraty Bag in black python has showed up on the Net A Porter UK site. This Chloe Bag is not available on the US page (although I really wish it was!). So if you have been lusting after the Chloe Paraty, you live in the UK, and you have some extra holiday spending money, go and buy your very own Paraty for £1,742 at Net A Porter UK.

I like the shape of the bag, and the fact that it has handles and a shoulder strap, but the python plus the thick rope running the bottom kind of creeps me out a bit. It makes it look like the snake is still living on the bag…

This is such an ugly bag. When I first saw it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Who would buy this?

    Ugly in person.

i really don’t know how i feel about this bag, which is odd because i’m usually so decisive about these things. on one hand, i’m intrigued by the design. on the other, i don’t understand what the hype is – it’s not that great – and there are times i think it’s downright ugly. the paraty confuses me.

Ah yes, the Chloé Paddington bag… hung off every celebrity arm from Sienna Miller to Paris Hilton in 2006! There seems to be a bit of division on this one, I love it though!

Does anybody know why the name Paraty bag? Is there any conection with the city in Brasil? I`m doing a research and I would be very gratefull if somebody can help me with this issue. Thanks

LOL I didn’t know there were so many different and strong views about the Paraty. I do agree about the python though. In Norway it’s not allowed so I don’t think it’s possible to import one. I do like the look, but I do not like the fact that it’s actually the real thing. I would prefere if it was just a snake print, not real snake skin.

I love the bag, but I still have’nt gotten one. I have some mixed feelings about it! Don’t knoe why. After reading these comments I am even more confused :) I think I just have to get one because of all the fuzz!

Can I ask if it has the open pockets in the front that are in most bags for a cell phone and such? I’ve read every online bag description of the paraty that I can, and none of them include this is in the description. I thought I’d ask an owner to make sure–it might be a deal breaker for me since I’m thinking of buying one soon.
