This bag is worth discussing. I came across the Burberry Prorsum Medium Osprey Leather Tote and I had an overwhelming need to look at it closer. While I couldn’t put my finger on why I needed to look closer, I knew I had to.

As much as I can appreciate the signature Burberry plaid, I really love how they continue to put out other fabulous bags that might not jump out as Burberry until you look at the label. This bag completely fits that bill. This silver leather tote has the slightest fringe effect throughout the bag. I barely think fringe when I see the bag, but we can work with it. I love how chic, eccentric and unique the bag is. You definitely do not see something similar every day.

The one handle looks completely fabulous and supple has a 5″ drop. If you choose to put it on your shoulder, it will fit snugly, but it won’t be uncomfortable. The ruching at the sides pull the leather and its fringe in a clever way to draw the eye and curiosity in. Open up the bag and you will find black designer-stamped lining, two internal sections and a couple of pockets. This bag made an appearance on the runway and I’d love to have it make an appearance on my arm. I might dare to say this is one of my favorite Burberry bags I’ve seen in a while. I’ve seen this IRL and altho’ it wasn’t love at first sight, I can’t put a finger on why, so I’ve gone back to look at it a few times. Something about it is growing on me. I’m one of the few who still likes the traditional Burberry bags (the beat check is my fav) but I have a few of from their other lines, too. At the end of the day, Burberry still comprises the majority of my collection–maybe because they do both styles so well?

I like this! It’s pretty spectacular in an understated way. While I like the Burberry plaid on some things (Swim Suits, Umbrellas, Scarves), I hate it on purses. The plaid bags are never cute, and you know the person only bought it because they knew everyone would know it was expensive.

I think Burberry has done a great job of making their leather bags in the last few years though. Most of them are very stunning and very well made.

i think it depends on which purse the plaid is on because i agree on some it looks like they bought it so that everyone would know it’s expensive but there are others that just look so nice with it! they tend to have a subtler plaid though

I am a big fan of the classic Burberry plaid, but I think this bag is great. It’s definitely unexpected and unique. The texture makes you want to reach out and touch it.

Maybe it’s the way the picture makes the bag look, but to me the fringe makes the bag look furry. I love a lot of the Burberry bags that are not the traditional plaid (I have a Pilgrim bag in black leather), but this one just doesn’t do it for me.

OOhh I really love this bag! Very subtle but still glam! The traditional Burberry plaid is a bit dated for me.

I got an up-close-and-personal look at this bag this weekend, and I sort of love it. It’s very tactile. The metallic I saw was my favorite, I can’t remember if it was silver or gold, though. I didn’t like the regular colors as much, but the metallic was great.

its fab…burberry is doing it for me lately

The stock images don’t do the bag justice. But, the color of this particular bag is Metallic Trench and I continue to love the bag the more I look at it!

The bag does look a little fury, but in a wonderful pleasing way. I like how the bag comes together on the sides its so unique. I would love to see this bag in person. I hope it is smoochy.

The shape of this bag is just lovely, as is the color, but I’d have to see IRL to best determine if that furry leather is not as worn as it looks.

I would like it even more if the leather were not fringed. It just looks like it would get everywhere.

I really love it! I’m not a fan of the plaid because I always feel like I’m advertising for B.

    I loveee the bag!

I have an older Isabella Fiore bag that has the same laser cut leather making it look a little furry, a little like fringe. I love that bag, and carry it all the time. I like this one, too.

    i can get into this—-

can’t stand that boring beige mom plaid.

it’s only hot on the inside of your trench!

I love the “twist” on the side but the overall effect makes it look furry. (fb)

Agree. It doesn’t scream Burberry, but it still keeps the Brit spirit that we all got used to and love so much. It’s recognisable, but for a second there, you feel like you may not be right. Also, I just ADORE that smooth fringeing. Elegant, but not too stiff. It’s definetly a ‘have to own’ bag. (fb)
