Bottega Veneta Woven Trapezoidal Hobo1 The lush and buttery soft woven leather has placed Bottega Veneta on a designer handbag pedestal. The prices of BV Bags are not cheap, but they are worth the price. New for fall, the Bottega Veneta Woven Trapezoidal Hobo combines femininity with Scala Rose woven leather, a slouchy shape, and a wide woven strap. Brass hardware is the perfect choice to accent the rose leather. At either end of the shoulder strap is a woven leather ring detail. The fold over flap closure stays in place with a hidden magnetic closure. Nothing other than smooth suede lining and in inside pocket finish the bag off. But style and craftsmanship does not come cheap, although if you ask me it is more than worth it to splurge on this divine brand. Pre-order at Saks for $2250.

Bottega Veneta Ombre Large Tote

Finally, some eye candy is in stock. Not that I am opposed to all the sales, but I am ready to drool over something new. The color magnificent Bottega Veneta Ombre Large Tote shades from a green to brown/grey in a stunning woven leather tote. The gunmetal hardware is the perfect edition to this bag along with the ring detail and adjustable straps. I will keep repeating myself, but if you have not felt a Bottega bag up close, do so. Go be that creepy handbag lady that touches, examines, feels, inspects, and falls in love with a bag. It is on display for you to do so and I guarantee you will not be the only creepy handbag lady there. I am a huge fan of the gunmetal hardware, it is the perfect color combination. The feel of this is very green and earthy. Lush suede lining along with an inside zip and phone pocket finish this tote off. The dimensions are 18½”W X 9½”H X 5½”D. This may not be the ideal color scheme for you, but you must admit that it is a work of intricate and delicate art. Love it and I am super excited for the rest of the fall bags to come out. Pre order at Saks for an expensive $2620.

Bottega Veneta Mini Shoulder Bag

The dreadful in between of new handbags is creating such a void in my life I feel like I’m stuck in some drab, hazzy mess (actually, come to think of it, Columbus is just that right now  ). At least the sale bags can tide us all over. A stunning little evening bag or just mini day bag, the Bottega Veneta Mini Shoulder Bag adds appeal with chain link piping on top of BV’s signature woven leather. This bag hails from the Resort 2007 collection and is already on sale. Seriously, get it. I would jump on it if I had not bought the Quarzo Clutch. The brass hardware is understated yet elegant. The bag completes itself with a top handle, hidden magnetic closure, and suede lining. Measurements are 9½”W X 4½”H X 2½”D. Marked down from $850 to $595 via Saks.

As much as we all need an everyday bag, the importance of an evening clutch is just as high. You can not be that person that walks into a nice dinner with an oversized tote bag over your arm, unless you are toting a young child, and even then you at least need to still look stylish. A tad more of an extravagant clutch, but a stunning timeless piece nonetheless, the Bottega Veneta Knot Clutch has been seen on hands of the fabulous all over the world. Anthracite and brown, woven and textured, this leather box clutch is pulled together with a knotted leather clasp fastening. While the leather version is a perfect safe answer, BV offers an array of other materials and colors in the Knot Clutch. Drool worthy via Net-A-Porter for $1780.

Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Accordion Tote

It is no secret that I am a new Bottega Veneta fan (especially after my two shopping trips). There is something about the craftsmanship and supple leather that is a designer to admire. Although BV is upping their prices 17%, I will still be a fan and still indulge in some of the beautiful bags when I can. If you are looking for a stunning tote, the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Accordion Tote will melt in your mouth and hands. The cream intrecciato leather is offset with brass hardware and has adjustable handles on each side. This tote is similar to my BV bag, which is most likely why I am taking a liking to it, and also features a flap closure and suede lining. Another drool worthy number from BV via Net A Porter for $2780.

Bottega Veneta Butterfly Cosmetic Case

Bottega Veneta Butterfly Cosmetic Case

I’m a girl who loves her designer handbags but has never been one to splurge on a designer cosmetic case. It may be because I choose not to wear a ton of make up, although it is well-known that a gal like me needs concealer from time to time which I choose to avoid, or just because I find it frivolous. One would argue that my finding a designer cosmetic case being frivolous is quite the oxymoron. To squash that oxymoron, I have found a divine cosmetic case that is both feminine and sturdy. The Bottega Veneta Butterfly Cosmetic Case is large enough to fit the few cosmetic necessities I need, 8 x 3 x 5, and shows off the pink Quarzo that is so feminine with a butterfly design. The inside is lined with cotton and the price is not absurd, just more than I would typically spend on a cosmetic case, especially since most of my cases come with free packages after spending x amount at department stores. Time for me to move on to the big girl case I think; via Bottega Veneta for $290.

Bottega Veneta Large Cabat

While in Venice, Italy, Vlad and I made ourselves quite comfortable in the Bottega Veneta Venice store. Aside from the fact that all exotics BV makes were there, and the colors and choices were divine, there were a few limited edition pieces that deserve tons of credit. Available online in the stunning metallic Ottone color (gold), the Bottega Veneta Limited Edition Large Cabat is an oversized attention grabber. Thanks to Ms Piggy via tPF, she shared some great information about this bag: “This bag is entirely hand woven, both inside and out. So there are actually four layers (unlike the other Intrecciato whereby it is actually a large leather panel with the weaves going through the slits on it). And apparently there are very few artisans in Italy that has the woven skills required for the Cabat.” Truly a piece of divine beauty and a limited edition bag, with a numbered plaque on each bag. I nearly went ga-ga for the Large Cabat in Old Petra, but the price held me back. As I was told, the large would be a great travel bag, measuring 18 x 8 x 13 IN. But the price may take your breath away; $5650 via BV. Either way, this bag is unarguably stunning.

Bottega Veneta Pink Quarzo Clutch

Ok so I must admit, I caught the BV bug bad. Call the Dr, cause I am sick!! From my brand new stunning Old Petra to my ostrich pig key chain, my BV collection is slowly growing. So just the other day, I threw on a chic dress and joined Vlad for another shopping trip to Bal Harbour. Word of advice, if you are looking to save money, do NOT go shopping with Vlad and I. We started off in Bottega Veneta, just ‘browsing’. The minute I popped into that store it was over. For starters, I bought another pig key chain for a friend! Then Vlad and I saw such an amazing BV Croc Elephant Key Chain. One second after seeing it, we asked for it, and BAM, we were buying it. Now the story goes that I promised Vlad a new key chain, just because he is who he is (yep, I am all sweet and stuff). Having a long history of loving Elephants in his family, this struck Vlad immediately and it was perfect. So all of a sudden I had a key chain for a friend, a key chain for Vlad, and nothing for me. One truly is the loneliest number.

Again, I proceeded to happen upon the counter and see a beautiful pink clutch. The Bottega Veneta Pink Quarzo Clutch caught my eye and caught my wallet. Stunning pink woven leather, a clever closure (expand by pressing open/closed), and a really feminine rose detailing on both sides. All of a sudden my mouth miraculously opened and uttered the phrase “I’ll take it!” WHAT?! I thought I just bought a brand new designer bag. But, alas, this is the nature of the beast, the designer handbag loving beast. I was offered water while paying the bill which calmed me down a bit.

And then… we headed to Louis Vuitton Bal Harbour. Stay tuned for the LV loot story later!!

My new Bottega Veneta Old Petra Handbag!

bv bag

I have been teasing you all with hints at the bag I bought while in Venice. It took me so long to get this post together you may have thought that I was pulling your leg. Well, take your leg back from me, the goods are here to be shown!

The Bottega Veneta store in Venice was great. Situated right by the Grand Canal on a side ’street’, close to my fabulous Bauer hotel, and a few minute walk from Plazza St Marco, there was one of the Bottega stores. The store itself was not overwhelming huge, but the bags inside will TDF. The store manager helped me, and showed me every bag under the sun. I felt all the exotics which were divine, he was opening more and more drawers showing more and more bags and accessories. I was set on either a Magnolia bag (light pink) or something in the purple family… you know, a feminine color perfect for spring and summer!

At first I was pretty much set on the Large Veneta in Magnolia, but then I saw this stunner. The Old Petra color is hard to really know unless you see it in person- not lilac, not brown, but a beautiful mix of the two. The color is stunning, and on my skintone and coloring it was a much better choice than the Magnolia. The Large Veneta is a very fun shape, but I wanted a little more structure, which is why I went with the bag I did.

BV bag3

May I introduce you to my beautiful new Bottega Veneta Old Petra Gold Hardware beauty!! Granted, I am not exactly sure of the name of the bag, but if I were to name it, I would just name it beautiful! It is sophisticated and fun- just perfect for me!

After I got my bag, I picked up the two goodies for the BV giveaway, and was done. But just the other day, Vlad and I made our way to BV Bal Harbour and I somehow left with two small goodies. I could not resist the Magnolia Ostrich Pig Key Chain- there is not a lot of ostrich detailing on the one I picked, but that is perfect for me! And then I opted for another small accessory- a coin purse with a key chain! Perfect little accessories!!

Hope you all enjoy the pics, and I must admit, it is easy to become addicted to these leather goods- simply divine!!!

Bottega Veneta Large Veneta Handbag

Bottega Veneta Large Veneta Handbag

There is a saying “When in Rome” then seems so cliche and so cool to use at times, and right now I need to modify the statement a tad to “When in Venice…buy a Bottega Bag”. I hinted at my purchase (which I will reveal in full later after I take tons of great pictures), and right now I will tell you that my bag is most definitely a Bottega Veneta. Certain to leave Italy with a piece of BV yummie goodness, I spent tons of time in the Venice store learning about so many new bags, what is hot, and finding the perfect bag for The Purse Blog Queen herself. I teetered between the bag I bought and the Bottega Veneta Large Veneta Handbag shown here. This handbag in pink magnolia is so feminine, slouchy, supple, and just perfect for spring and summer. If you wanted the perfect blushing pink accessory, this would be it. The color is a very light pink but a stunning pink shade nonetheless. The large size that I was trying on measures 20 x 20 inches, which fit perfectly under my arm and left ample space. While this option is stunning, I found a handbag that suits me even more perfectly (and my skin tone). But surely, if you love this bag, get it! $1630 through Bottega Veneta.
