Prada-Fall-2015-Handbags-17

Over the past six months, we’ve discussed the problems that plague Prada’s handbag business (and, therefore, its business at large) on a number of occasions. Chiefly among them are the brand’s reliance on saffiano leather, which is not really a luxury material, and the lack of diversity in its bag mix.

Finally, it’s the last Friday in February, and hopefully March will be milder for those of you still in the clutches of winter. In the meantime, we send warm and cozy thoughts to everyone and welcome you to another edition of the PurseForum Roundup!

TS Notice 2_27Over on TalkShoes, we rounded up the 30 best shoes from NYFW, and unlike the handbags, there’s something to look forward to. We all love a statement shoe, but this week the team is dreaming of classics. We also want to know if you think the new Givenchy floral print will be as successful as the popular rose camouflage print. Paloma Faith knows that if there is ever a time to wear Charlotte Olympia’s Team Spirit Wedge Sandals, it’s definitely during London Fashion Week.

Celebrity-Designer-Handbags-February-26

London Fashion Week is upon us, and this week it happened to overlap with the Oscars, which meant that LFW was an A-list actor-free zone during the first few days. London’s best “it” girls, pop singers, and modeling legends still turned out in force, of course.

Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Monogram Infrarouge

Monogram bags may wax and wane with customers, but they’ll always be a huge part of many brands’ sales. Monograms easily identify brands to onlookers, and many customers first find their way to love designers by recognizing the monogram; it’s an easy association.

Chanel-Classic-Flap-Guide-Price-and-Size-Guide

When we released our last Ultimate Bag Guide, many of you asked us to give the same treatment to the iconic Chanel Classic Flap Bag, and we thought it was an excellent suggestion. This month marks the revolutionary shoulder bag’s 60th anniversary, and somehow, it’s even more popular now than it was in 1955.
