Why It’s the Bag of the Week: Novelty bags are a huge trend right now, but unfortunately, almost all of the really great ones are made by brands that charge four figures for everything they do.

TalkShoes Notice 3_2 If you didn’t get a chance to check out the best shoe deals from this past weekend, there’s still time to score some amazing deals. Since we are on the topic of great savings, we also rounded up the best floral shoes for spring under $500. If you’re a supermodel promoting the Victoria Secret Swim Special, a pair of Sophia Webster Lilico Flower Sandals is the perfect finishing touch! Last but not least, check out the five TalkShoes posts that our readers loved most in February.

Givenchy Antigona in the Rain

Over the weekend, there was quite the rainstorm as I headed out for a pedicure. I snatched up my Givenchy Antigona, as that was the bag I’ve been using the previous few days, and quickly headed into the car. I had to park about 50 feet from the nail salon, so I needed to make a run for it in the rain with my bag.

Fendi-Fall-2015-Bags-12

If you’re thinking about an exceptionally bold coat for Fall 2015, you’re going to love this Fendi collection. If you’re looking for a fabulous new bag, you might also like it, but for the first time in a spectacular several-season accessories run for the brand, it felt like the collection’s focus was elsewhere and we have a moment to catch our collective breath (and save up some money for the Fendi bags we’ve been eyeing).

Prada-Fall-2015-Handbags-17

Over the past six months, we’ve discussed the problems that plague Prada’s handbag business (and, therefore, its business at large) on a number of occasions. Chiefly among them are the brand’s reliance on saffiano leather, which is not really a luxury material, and the lack of diversity in its bag mix.

Saint-Laurent-Clutch-and-Fur-Coat

Finally, it’s the last Friday in February, and hopefully March will be milder for those of you still in the clutches of winter. In the meantime, we send warm and cozy thoughts to everyone and welcome you to another edition of the PurseForum Roundup!

TS Notice 2_27Over on TalkShoes, we rounded up the 30 best shoes from NYFW, and unlike the handbags, there’s something to look forward to. We all love a statement shoe, but this week the team is dreaming of classics. We also want to know if you think the new Givenchy floral print will be as successful as the popular rose camouflage print. Paloma Faith knows that if there is ever a time to wear Charlotte Olympia’s Team Spirit Wedge Sandals, it’s definitely during London Fashion Week.

We feel incredibly lucky to have so many readers that drop by the site regularly to chat with us about handbags, but we realize that not everyone can spend as much time PurseBlogging as we do. (We are, after all, employed here.) For those of you who just drop by once in a while, we’re starting something new: In Case You Missed It, which is an end-of-the-month rundown of the five posts our readers found the most useful, helpful or interesting during the previous five weeks.

Anya-Hindmarch-Fall-2015-Handbags-14

Anya Hindmarch is a brand that’s been around as long as I’ve been into handbags, but in the past two seasons, the British designer has rocketed to wider interest than she’s ever received before. That’s largely because of the decision to incorporate a few consumer product logos into some bags two seasons ago; earlier this week, Hindmarch gave us even more of what’s exploded the brand into the mainstream.
