National Handbag Day is October 10, and all this week, we’ve got very special stuff planned to celebrate. Tomorrow, October 8, we’ll be hosting a live Q&A period with Megs and Amanda; if you have questions about choosing a new bag, personal style, PurseBlog life or pretty much anything else, just drop by the site at 1 p.m. eastern Thursday and ask away! They’ll be here to offer expert opinions and an inside look at working in fashion. Mark your calendars!
We’re big fans of self-care, whether that means a solo trip to the movies or a calming nightly skincare ritual. As you might expect, though, handbags are our favorite way to indulge ourselves. Retail therapy is totally a real thing, and when it comes time to shop, you know which section we’re headed to first.
When I heard that Chanel‘s Spring 2016 show was set to be airport-themed, I couldn’t help but smile; it was one of those (somewhat frequent) moments where I feel like Karl Lagerfeld personally cares about my happiness.
We’ve delved into the many shoes of Amal Clooney, and over on TalkShoes, we have another pair to add to the list. We spotted Mrs. Clooney wearing a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo sandals to match her Versace dress. We also spotted Emilia Clarke attending the Dior Spring 2016 show in, you guessed it, Dior pumps. Speaking of Fashion Week, if you’re craving a pair of shoes straight from the Spring 2016 runways, you can now pre-order select pairs through Neiman Marcus!
There are few rituals I love more in life than rubbing a brand new potion of some sort on my face, and with all the inside time that cooler weather brings (plus all the need for hyperactive moisturizing), now is a great time to start thinking about what you’re going to put on your face while you watch Netflix this winter.
I remember when I first heard of the Chanel WOC; I also remember it took me a while (maybe longer than I’d like to admit) to figure out “WOC” stood for “Wallet On Chain.” Chanel isn’t the only brand to make a WOC, but it’s arguably the brand most closely associated with the popular style, and much like many other Chanel pieces, the brand does its WOC oh so well.
As we recently announced, we’ve partnered with The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse to help raise awareness about and aid victims of domestic and financial abuse. Last week at The Plaza Hotel, we joined The Allstate Foundation, 2015 Purple Purse ambassador Kerry Washington and handbag designer Dee Ocleppo to celebrate the cause and catch a glimpse of the new bag.
We’ve inched one day closer to our favorite day of the year, National Handbag Day, and we’re still thick in the midst of preparation and celebration. (Not that we don’t celebrate bags every day, because: duh.) Today, we’re taking a close look at some of Fall 2015’s most popular pieces, and I’ve read my tea leaves to see who it is who might be picking these pieces up for the season.
Unless you’re brand new to Céline, you’re well aware that the brand tends to show far more unusual and conceptual bags on its runways than the majority of what actually ends up getting stocked in stores.
