As we move on into what we’re hoping will be a warmer April, it’s time to take one last look back at what transpired in the handbag world in March 2015. From street style in Paris and Milan to an investigation into price increases, there’s some great stuff you might have missed along the way.

PurseBlog Picks 3.30.15

I am constantly updating PurseBlog Picks with my favorite items and the latest submissions have been filled with pretty pastels for spring. From light pinks, yellows, blues and more, I’ve added the best items to the PB Picks page that I’m currently coveting and I’m sure you will be too once you see them!

People start to get very nervous about “bathing suit season” when the weather starts to turn warm. I think you are all perfect little angel babies just like you are, of course, and if the spring thaw inspires you to leave your houses and move your bodies, then more power to you.

Not long ago, I wrote about how obsessed I am with the Mark Cross Grace Box Bag, so you can imagine how delighted I am to bring you this sneak peek of the brand’s Grace bags and beyond from Fall 2015.

When the weather starts to warm up, the minis start to come out in force. This is my third year writing for PurseBlog, and I’m still stumped as to why this is the pattern. Do we really carry that much less stuff in the spring?

Why It’s the Bag of the Week: This statement-making bag is a leather pouch inside a gold-plated metal frame, and because of the inventive handle attachment, the chain strap can also be doubled over on one end to make it a north/south clutch.

SPL975585_005 You know what will make your Monday a bit sweeter? Last week’s round of Shoe Deals on TalkShoes. Let us explain: Not only did we find an abundance of great deals (18 to be exact), but we also found deals on some of the rarest brands to go on sale, like a pair or two of Christian Louboutin shoes! Celebs also brought out their footwear A-game this week! The beautiful January Jones chose to fly in a trustworthy pair of Jimmy Choos, and on the other of the shoe spectrum, Ashley Tisdale headed into a workout class in a pair of knee-high gladiator sandals. We’re assuming she changed once inside.

When I wrote about pastel spring bags last week, you guys were pretty much in agreement–the colors are just so nice to look at, so clean and feminine. An expensive, ultra-light purchase isn’t the best avenue for everyone, though, especially if you tend to be hard on your bags or wear a lot of black.

The Givenchy Antigona is one of those bags that continues to gain popularity at a point in its life cycle when any other bag would be starting to fizzle out as consumers move on to other things, and that’s how you know it’s one of the few truly exceptional pieces out there right now.
