Since micro bags became trendy, Fendi has done the best job at making an itsy-bitsy-teenie-weenie bag that people really want. We’ve covered the Fendi Micro Peekaboo plenty of times, and it’s still a favorite of many. I also did a little experiment to see what fits (rather what doesn’t fit) inside of it.

Opening-Ceremony-Mansur-Gavriel-Bags

Buying a Mansur Gavriel bag is difficult not just because they’re highly sought-after, but also because the process is decentralized. It’s hard to buy an Hermès Birkin, but there’s no confusion or mystery around where you go and who you talk to if you want to give it a shot.

Comme des Garcons Neon Continental Wallet, $280 via Net-a-Porter

Despite our obvious fondness for leather accessories, we don’t talk much about wallets. We never have. It’s not because we lack appreciation for a good wallet, but more that they’re hidden and utilitarian, when compared to pretty much everything else we spend our time obsessing about over here.

Celebrity-Bags-July-7

It’s July, and celebs are sporting some premium peak summer looks. It’s just teased hair, short shorts, mini-dresses and mesh for days. Summer celebs are probably my favorite celebs. Their bag selections are both brightly colored or neutral. There’s no particular theme or prominent trend in this round-up, but we do have a nice fringed Saint Laurent, a lovely, prismatic patterned Roger Vivier, and another appearance by Coach‘s hot new style, the Swagger.

Ferragamo Driver Shoe Grey 1

Ferragamo makes beautiful bags that we cover often, but if you are a shoe lover as well, you might already know that Ferragamo makes great, comfortable shoes. If you ask anyone in the know to recommend a luxury shoe that is won’t kill your feet, you will inevitably hear Ferragamo; that goes for the men’s shoes as well.

Liv-Tyler-Givenchy-Floral-Mini-Pandora-Bag

Liv Tyler and I don’t have much in common. For example, I am not the child of rock star royalty, and I do not live in a gorgeous townhome in the West Village. What we do have in common, though, is that we both wear a lot of black, right down to our sensible New York walking shoes, and we use a bag to add a little visual interest to the whole thing.

Givenchy-Antigona-Bag

As we noted during our look at all the saddle bags suddenly on the market for Fall 2015, the 70s trend that popped up all over the runways has indeed translated to retail. That has implications beyond just bag shape, though; it also means that the color palette for the season skews decidedly retro, most notably in the resurgence of tan leather and suede bags.

Louis-Vuitton-Fall-2015-Ad-Campaign-6

If you’ve been tuned into Louis Vuitton‘s and creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere’s various social media channels over the past week, you’ve probably seen this coming little by little, but we now have enough of the Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 ad campaign, dubbed Series 3 by the designer, to collect and evaluate the effort.
