Earlier this year, we noticed an influx of lavender and lilac-colored EVERYTHING popping up at our favorite online shopping destinations. The selections only continued to grow throughout the year, with bags, shoes, accessories, RTW, and more popping up in every shade of purple imaginable. Purple was definitely one of the most trending colors of the year (along with Bottega green), and it looks like this color isn’t going away anytime soon.
We’re obsessed with all purple everything, and there are so many ways (and hues) to try the purple trend on you. So whether you want to don purple pants, drape a purple coat over your shoulders or carry a lovely little lilac bag in the crook of your arm, we rounded up well over a dozen of our favorite picks below. Have you tried the purple trend this year? Drop a comment and let us know which shade of purple is your favorite!
Coincidentally, my Purple Bottega Veneta Large Jodie (in Grape) is on its way to me.
Wow, beautiful! Great choice, and congrats!
Congratulations! That sounds like an amazing bag.
That sounds beautiful! 🌺
I love purple! We are going to Europe over Christmas (fingers crossed!) and I think I’ll get myself a purple Christmas present along the way.
Ooo can’t wait to hear what it is! I haven’t snagged a purple bag yet but I am on the hunt! I love my BV yellow Jodie and almost wish I got it in purple too.
Purple was not the color of year. Not sure where you get your info lol… it was clearly Bottega green and that’s it. I work in the fashion industry and nobody wore purple this year, it’s very reminiscent of Barney the dinosaur.
You have the cadence of a hormonal teenager.
Taylor Swift’s Etro velvet pantsuit in purple this week was beyond stunning, but I guess she is also “no one”. As a fashion industry “expert”, you would also know there are about 1000 different shades of purple. Tolerance, inclusion and diversity clearly aren’t your things. Why are you always so rude on here?
Actually, BOTH were the ‘in’ color….it’s the lighter shade of purple that’s more in season fall/winter 2021. Yes, green was also quite popular earlier in 2021! I happen to love both colors.
Yes! Lilac/lavender was definitely the more popular of the bunch, I read WWD quite often and it was mentioned earlier on in the year as a color to watch. I know many who steer clear of pastels so it’s nice to see darker hues pop up also.
You are so pleasant when expressing your opinions! It is just your opinion BTW.
She owns a mini Jodie green Bottega, as she loves to point out at every opportunity! She’s the expert! 🙄
