The first piece of jewelry I remember pining for was the classic Tiffany heart lock necklace and matching bracelet. In high school, this was the holy grail for everyone I knew. I was elated when I received my first Tiffany & Co. little blue box. I still have the box (and jewelry) to this day. With time, my penchant for Tiffany’s has evolved as much as the brand itself.
A handful of old and new classics round out the most sought-after from the brand, alongside new collections with meticulously crafted twists. Alongside expanding the family of jewelry, collaborations, homeware, and more, Tiffany & Co. continues to expand its bag offerings. The latest line merges jewelry touches thanks to the iconic ribbon motif from the legendary designer. This is the Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Ribbons Handbag Collection.
Jean Schlumberger’s Ribbons
It shouldn’t be a shock that Tiffany & Co.’s foray into bags is the ultimate luxury. The focal point on each bag in this collection surrounds the ribbons motif first seen on a Jean Schlumberger design in 1957.
The Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Ribbons handbags are offered in two different styles, including a shoulder bag and a minaudière. Both showcase an assortment of leathers, colors, and exotic skins. Of course, Tiffany blue is one of the colors, but there are many other vibrant colors as well.
Returning to the star of each bag, the ribbon closure, because this detail deserves your full attention. There are four styles: bicolor, enamel, gold vermeil, and 18k gold with diamonds. Each closure provides a unique interpretation of Jean Schlumberger’s interwoven ribbon motifs.
For the bags with the 18k gold and diamond closure, you can actually detach the closure and style it as a brooch. This bag has an added 24k gold-plated clasp, so the bag will remain secure when the diamond and gold brooch are removed.
As the bag industry grows, designs like this stand out in a sea of options. The attention to detail with the jewelry hardware and chain strap makes this bag line a star for more than just the exotic skins and beautiful leather. Discover the entire collection at Tiffany & Co.

Detailed Look at the Hardware
“I believe a jewel needs a raison d’être, a meaning: its style should be rational and intelligible, its different volumes should be offset by compensatory effects and not by repetition; the component elements, while being different, should give a feeling of continuity by creating an asymmetry of detail that is not necessarily visible but infinitely perceptible on the emotional level.”

Some of the bags give a Bulgari Serpenti vibe.
There is nothing new except an ugly opening chunk of metal – even a grandma would not carry this outdated / does PB ever diss a bag for being pointless or at least I hope you got paid to sing praises of this ugly bag!
Yes, they are very traditional in shape but I think that’s what makes them gorgeous. I don’t need innovation for the sake of innovation. I also really enjoy the jewelry clasp. Objectively, it’s hard for me to imagine someone describing this bag as “ugly.”
Very nice! I like the retro look. It really gives upscale vibes.
It’s really stunning – I can’t wait to see one in person!!
Collection is very beautiful.Thanks!!!
I want to see more jewelry with bags from Tiffany’s!!!
Now do a collection with silver hardware.
These are beautiful, but even if I had that kind of money, I’d rather get a cheaper bag elsewhere and spend more on the jewelry.
