My Love for the Ferragamo Hug Bag Continues

First unveiled in the Fall of 2023, the Ferragamo Hug bag was precisely what the brand needed to revamp and reinvigorate its bags. We knew the bag would be loved and even deemed it the bag that would rule fashion month a year ago. Fast-forward one year, and the Hug continues to be a bag I gravitate towards. After passing by the store window last week, I decided to take a deep dive into the many offers of the beloved bag.

One aspect I appreciate about a brand is its willingness to find a design that resonates with shoppers, focusing on creating different sizes and materials and reinventing the original overall. Ferragamo has done that with the Hug bag, which now offers many different options, from daily wear to elegant evening options to seasonal variations.

I was meh on this bag until I tried it out in person. Now, I really want one in the small (?) size. The ostrich in that pink color is GORGEOUS.

I love the Ferragamo hug bag. I tried the small size in store last year and knew this was the bag I want to own one day. Ferragamo just has the most beautiful timeless handbags.

I love this bag, it’s on my wishlist so bad but I haven’t found a good deal on it yet, and I won’t buy it new. I definitely prefer preloved. But it’s a beautiful bag.

I like it and it’s well made and available in a variety of sizes and colours. But… even with the new closure, so me it’s just a little too pickpocket friendly, so it will probably be a no. Also I don’t think the shoulder strap is adjustable.

I think I’d rather have a studio (regular or box bag) … or an iconic black bag.
