If you had asked me to guess which designer released a $2,100 “insulted bag,” aka lunch bag, I would have immediately guessed Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga. Gvasalia is the controversial mastermind behind many of fashion’s most outlandish gimmicks.
There was the $2,145 IKEA shopping bag, the Balenciaga speaker bag and most recently the $1,790 trash bag, which ironically debuted shortly before people were quite literally tossing their Balenciaga bags into the trash, but I digress.
My point is a pricey lunch pail is exactly the sort of irony I would expect from Balenciaga, but in this case, it comes from none other than our friends at Fendi, and it’s not quite a gimmick at all!

A Fendi Ready For Your Yacht
Fendi’s insulated bag is part of a larger line of yacht-ready accessories like an insulated flask holder and a raffia water bottle.
If you’re like me, you’d be eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a month after making such a frivolous purchase, but this Fendi is actually perfect for toting your canned Rose and caviar to the beaches of Cannes.
The insulated bag has a handle that clips open and closed, allowing it to fully unzip so it can be stuffed with everything you need to make a beachside charcuterie board. It is at least crafted in Italy from calf leather with braided natural raffia trim for the pretty penny it costs. The bag unzips to reveal a silver insulated lining.
I too, am insulted by this bag. Lol. Freudian slip? Hahahaha
Yeah, there is a time to spend on a designer and a time…..to buy the cheap insulated bag from Costco. This is one of those times.
