The Best Bags of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2022: Day 5

Loewe lit up the streets on Day 5!

PFW 2022 Day 5 (1 of 23)

There are entire books, Instagram accounts, and more dedicated to the unique art of Parisian style, and rightfully so. In an iconic league all its own, the French certainly know how to bring a certain je ne sais quoi, as they say, to their street style looks. These days, the stunning cafe-lined streets of Paris are abuzz with editors, influencers, and show attendees, aka fashion’s finest, and they continue to bring us some serious bag eye candy.

The Loewe Takeover

Our coverage continues today with day five of PFW, which brought with it an array of gorgeous bags! Unsurprisingly, we saw lots of Loewe as Jonathon Anderson and co put on the Fall 2022 runway presentation, bringing out Loewe’s many fashion fans. The Puzzle bag will forever remain a classic, but we were surprised to see so many show-goers with the Loewe Flamenco Clutch tucked in hand. While Loewe was definitely the designer of choice, we also saw a fair amount of indie bags and some Chanel. Of course, it wouldn’t be a day of fashion week if Jacquemus didn’t make an appearance.

Check out the full batch of bags from day five now and in case you missed it, discover the bags from days four and three.

Celine is really trying to make their Triomphe bags happen. And you know what? It’s totally working on me.

Finally, after all these years, when you stoop so low for the almighty dollar that you post a photo of a fashionista smoking a cigarette for all the easily-influenced minds here, when you could have easily left it out, I’m done.

I am sorry if the image upset you. As I noted during one of the previous days of FW, there are a lot more smokers in Europe than I would have imagined in the 2020s.

I did not choose to include the image to glorify smoking (or for financial gain), but rather I felt it had strong composition and she carried a good bag. Remember that this set is part of a street photography series that captures street-style looks and candid moments during FW. Omitting the picture would selectively censor what goes on during the European FW circuit.

I actually loved that photo! I recently moved back stateside during the pandemic and after living in Paris for 10 years, it instantly made me feel homesick. Smoking is just a part of the culture in France (and I say that as a non-smoker).

Do you have links for the columns on PFW days 1 and 2? I can’t find. Thanks!

Our photographer arrived on the evening of day 2, so we don’t have images from the first two days of PFW.
