It wasn’t just a trend with bags, accessories, and clothing either. Rather, the popularity of MP spanned marketing and branding efforts from some of the biggest names in fashion, beauty, and beyond. This year, pink is back, big time, and in recent weeks, the bold, pink boom has become impossible to ignore.

Pink has long since been a color associated with traditional femininity. This year, as many brands are re-exploring not only what it means to be a woman but the line between gender roles in general, bold pink is most definitely a color for all. Exuding a certain power, strength, and elegance bold, bright pink is having its moment.
There was that mohair Jacquemus cardigan that was seemingly the It-Item of the year, not to mention Balenciaga pink and Valentino’s all-pink-everything runway show. And while Pantone may have predicted something a little less…loud, I can’t say I’m surprised by this influx given fashion’s current obsession with statement-making shades like orange and green.
