This clutch is just another example of my ever-growing love for all things Louboutin. Christian Louboutin has a knack for taking ordinary accessories and loading them with details and embellishments to make them unlike others on the market. What I personally love about Louboutin is you never know what concoction he will create. His aesthetic is one that never disappoints me – I like things a little bit on the wild side. With that in mind, the Christian Louboutin Marquise Spiked Leather Clutch is just another bag I am adding to my wish for when I save up enough money, or win the lottery, whichever comes first.

Louboutin combines toughness with glamour in this blush leather clutch. This unique clutch will add style to any conservative or edgy outfit. While I am absolutely, unbelievably in love with this clutch, I see some downfalls. The first problem is the size. I hope you don’t plan on carrying too much with you because the depth of this clutch is two inches! Two inches! That’s not a whole lot of room to carry your essentials. But it is worth the sacrifice to carry light when you realize the amount of compliments and stares you will receive when toting this thing around.

The second problem is the price. Net-a-Porter features this bag for $1295 (unfortunately, that’s a normal price point for any Louboutin product). I know it is out of my budget, but I still think it’s potentially a great wardrobe investment. In particular, I know that this clutch will likely appeal primarily to a younger consumer, but I hope women of all ages are willing to take a walk on the wild side with a little bit of Louboutin. I know that if I were to buy this clutch, I’d wear it beyond my twenties and I hope others would too. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $1295.

I do love Mr.Louboutin, but his handbags are just not as nice as his shoes. Many of his designs for shoes are a bit tacky, or too shoe related. He should stick with his shoes, his handbags don’t look as classy… Just my point of view, this clutch to me is not worth what he’s charging, and so is a lot of other bags

Generic design! Personally he’s one of those designers whose overall point of view i’m yet to be comfortable with and it’s designs like the above that make it more so! On that note i shall refrain from further comments so as not to spoil the ‘enjoyment’ of others!

I think it is an okay clutch. I don’t need to have it but if someone gave it to me I would use it. Even with the spike, I think the bag is simple enough to carry without being to over-the-top.

I love spikes, studs, bling etc but this looks way to dangerous.

  • Nay…

    definitely a killer

I love it. A weapon and an accessory all at the same time. I’m certain that we’ll see this on the red carpet.

  • Joanna

Yay! I love it. Very edgy and me :)

  • A resounding YAY – the spike trend hasn’t really disappeared (despite fading a bit from the mid-aughts), and in neutral/ by Louboutin, it’s haute, not Hot Topic. Love it, and with all of the 50 Shades of Gray inspired pieces from NYFW13, we have a feeling we’ll see a lot more of this (and knockoffs).

  • That is beautiful! I’m kinda over spikes atm but this is out of this world! x
