Yesterday Amanda asked you all if you think Christian Louboutin should stick to shoes. I personally do not think he needs to, he has released some amazing bags. The problem is that some other bags have been not so amazing, bordering on downright confusing. I understand the spunky design of many Christian Louboutin shoes. Call me safe, but when it comes to making a bold and quirky design, a pair of shoes is a better fit.
I found the Christian Louboutin Marianna Rider Fur Tote on Neiman Marcus. Yes, fur is big for fall. The good thing is that many designers are opting for faux fur (even Chanel!). This bag is coyote fur however. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, or at least a handful of words to explain how you feel. And that is what I want you all to do – tell us what you think of this bag. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $3,945.
No, no, no. I don’t like it and I wouldn’t buy something that’s real fur.
I have two beloved dogs. The bag is revolting.
it’s tacky.
That bag is the worse I have ever seen. Even Donetella Versace won’t go that far.
besides all the humane reasons why I don’t like it, its just pretty hideous in general. Sorry Msr. but this one was not a good design.
I really don’t like it. It just looks like a lump of fur and chains, not far enough from the animal it once was.
This is hideous.
To each their own, but personally I am against fur period. FAUX fur — please and thank you.
Fur issue aside..the bag is really one big mess!! Ugly is not even good enough to describe
I love fur-real or faux. I think that the real problem with this bag is that it’s too much fur. The bag is too big and fluffy. It’s like a fur coat that has been converted into a tote. The designer should have cut some of the hair. Shorter may make it better along with eliminating the dangling chains and tassels.
I really wish purseblog would stop featuring fur bags. It’s clear that the majority of your readers don’t like them and don’t support the cruel industry behind them – why do we need to see them keep popping up on this page?
Fur bags are really big for fall – so we will be featuring them some, hopefully there will be some great faux fur to feature as well.
We aren’t trying to upset anyone, but I don’t want to pretend something doesn’t exist.
well said hanna !!
although as sensitive the issue is, it is practically the same thing anyways with leather skin/ lambskin/ python/ snake/ croc skin etc..
it may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but it’s really up to each and everybody’s preference and personal stand. (ipad)
Fur & leather .. it’s the exact same animal except the tanning process is different. With leather handles I think this bag would be beautiful.
I totally agree Vlad. You can’t satisfy everyone so write the blog the way you want. Personally, I love the fur-real or faux.
Great point Evelyn! I agree 100%!
I think the purse could use a makeover, would look terrible with my David Rosenberg 4ct cocktail ring. give it haircut, eliminate excess straps and maybe the coyote will become a real looker
I love fur, but this looks like roadkill.
I love fur but for a coat not a bag. Coyote? well I guess it’s one way to keep our sweet pets safer. Coyotes have started living in the suburbs and eating people’s pet cats and dogs. Just like I’d want the alligator and python populations controlled. They’ll eat children along with your beloved pets. Yeah I eat meat too.
I agree with C Fossati, though I don’t like this particular bag, Pretty expensive for a varmint.
I’m all about faux. And instead of crocodile skin, I prefer embossed leather. I actually love big bags, but it is real fur, so even if I had the money I wouldn’t consider to buy it, and if it was faux fur… I would consider it, and maybe say no, cause’ I really dislike the contrast between those super shiny chains and the fur.
I have been saying to friends for years that he really needs to stick to shoes. How can someone who makes such gorgeous shoes make such horrible handbags?
About two years ago, I was in Fred Segals (L.A.) and there was one of his bags, in the shoe department, and I couldn’t believe how cheap it looked and it was some outrageous price.
I’m honestly not a fan of the fur. (although I do love fur, just not on this bag) But have you seen the black in person and put it on? I’M OBSESSED!!! <3
I think that’s the UGLIEST bag I’ve ever seen. Why would anyone spend good money for it?
Unbelievably unattractive – and not just because of the fur. The whole thing is just a mess.
Real fur or faux fur, I am totally into this statement piece!!! I really like the metal straps on the bag too because it downplays the fur in a way.
YUK!!
If only there was a little less fur…It definitely makes a statement.
I don’t like real fur but have not objections to faux. However, real or not, this bag just doesn’t do it for me. It looks shapeless and I’m not prepared to shell out that amount of money for something that looks like a sack. Sorry CL, better luck next time.
Yeah, stick to shoes Monsieur L.

I absolutely love fur, not faux the real thing, however; this bag is a mess and I think there is nothing attractive about it. I am also a huge dog lover, they are the sweetest four legged creatures around!!!
i agree the bag looks tacky and a mess.
I love Christian Louboutin but the bag looks tacky and has so much fur and its not real but i love the style!!!!!!
We live in the outback practically, and would shoot any coyote we saw; however, I wouldn’t carry them w/me to work either.
First of all – fur is bad. Enough said. Secondly this is the most hideous thing I have seen carrying the Loubitan name and I am a big fan of the shoes, I have my eye on a pair at Net-a-porter as we speak.

an animal had to die for that?? (ipad)
oh my god girls. i really love this! only real fur can be beautiful!
I love Christian Louboutin and everything he does. Let’s face it: he’s fabulous! But as much as I like his shoes and bags, I think it’s disgusting that he uses real leather and fur. No animal should suffer so we can use a bag like this. Honestly this bag makes me sick. Like I said, I love his products but I would never buy them until he starts replacing real fur for fake.
