When Phoebe Philo arrived and Céline bags took over the fashion world, the brand seemed like the little secret only those on the inside knew about. All of my fashion friends were lusting after the latest Céline bags, but they hadn't quite saturated the mainstream yet. This is no longer the case--Céline is now a powerhouse, and while the Luggage Tote is still the most well-known of its designs, plenty of new things have popped up in the past few seasons.
We shared our exclusive photos of the Céline Tri-Fold Bag a few months ago, and now I have a look at two smaller, more compact bags: the Céline Frame Bag and Céline Frame Clutch. The larger of the two, the Frame Bag, has a thick leather shoulder strap and offers one zipped and one flat pocket inside. This bag is a great size if you don't typically carry too much with you but want to be able to easily fit your phone, slim wallet, and a few personal items. The Frame Clutch is quite compact, on the other hand, and comes with a skinny chain strap--perfect for a night out.
Compared to other small Céline bags like the Classic Box, the Frame Bags offer a more casual vibe. I still would opt for a different bag personally (maybe the Trotteur--I really like that bag), but Amanda has a huge bag crush on both sizes of the Frame--Céline's lineup at the moment covers a diverse array of personal styles. The Frame Bag is $2,550, and the clutch is $1,400.
