A Mix of Classic Bags and New Styles Were Seen On the Runway at Celine Winter 2021

Your first look at CELINE PARADE, the Women’s Winter 2021 collection

Last fall Hedi Slimane presented Celine’s spring 2021 collection, CELINE 08 MONACO, which was a playful ode to youth culture, designed to be chic yet wearable. Now we’ve got a look at the latest to come from Celine this year, CELINE PARADE, which is a continuation of what Slimane presented for spring, proving that his obsession with youth is here to stay.

There wasn’t much to be said in terms of show notes, though the collection as a whole is noted to be an “utopian parade and melancholic daydream of youth interrupted”. The rest is left up to us to interpret, leaving the viewer to put together the pieces of Slimane’s inspirations ourselves. And though it’s incredibly clear that Slimane continues to be inspired by the young, this collection also provides a bit of nostalgia with its oversized blazers and straight loose jeans.

As for the bags, a handful of classics were seen on the runway like the brand’s Triomphe Canvas Bags and the Triomphe Bag. Two new bags made their runway debut this season as well, one is slouchy and more relaxed while the second is more structured and sleek. Called the Romy and Tabou respectively, both bags are meant to be worn on the shoulder and are easy silhouettes that sit effortlessly among the brand’s RTW. View bags from the collection below.
