First off, I think the YSL Jamie presented here can get a pass. It’s not all that “shearling” to me. It’s a fun and fine twist away from the usual varieties. It can be used all year long. I think of them alongside materials such as tweeds etc.
I do however echo the sentiments and bafflements about shearling bags. I particularly don’t see myself using them for ski season – they get wet! I use a crossbody monogram canvas LV for winter season, including accompanying family members who ski. (Note it is good for walking around the slopes in inclement weather, not for the skiers of course.) It has red trim and red handles, good for Xmas season all the way to Valentines.
Thank you for today’s poor quality leather handbags @ outrageous prices . I will stick to all my Ruth Saltz handbags and a few designer handbags from that period. ❤️all, are made in the USA !
Shearing is meant for keeping warm… why waste it in bag form except for one time use 😑
