Real Talk with Megs: Sometimes I’m Scared to Carry My Nice Bags

I feel like a hypocrite, because when anyone asks me about carrying something fragile or light-colored, I always tell them that bags are meant to be worn – and they are. But I have to be honest, when it comes to some of my favorite luxury bags, I’m afraid to carry them. It’s not every bag in my collection, but there are a few special ones that I tend to hold off on carrying for what I deem “special occasions.” They’re bags I’d never take on a plane or to run errands or for any form of everyday use. I tuck these bags into their dust bags and boxes after I use them and only turn to them when I think I can carry them and treat them nicely.

Good News: Mulberry’s Handbag Prices are About to Drop

Fashion is an industry of rarity, but the news late last week from Mulberry may be the rarest thing we’ve seen in recent memory. The Bucket Bag is Spring 2014’s Biggest Accessories Trend

For those of you who wanted one, it’s probably time to come to terms with the fact that you’re not going to get a Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag for spring. (Add it to your wishlist at Net-a-Porter, though – a friend who did so fairly recently saw it show up in her shopping bag last week.) That’s a bummer, but the good news is that Mansur Gavriel was on the front end of a trend that has since become huge – bucket bags are spring’s biggest handbag shape trend, and the brands entering into the fray include everyone from Opening Ceremony to Hermes.
