Sorry for the late start today, but there is just so much to do so little time. As you know last week Vlad and I spent in NYC. We have amazing interviews and pictures to come (so excited to share with you all!). Things are hectic around here today as we are getting things situated before Vlad leaves on Thursday for Germany for two weeks. I am staying home to hold down the fort and Shannon is headed to California. We have so many things in store for you all, just hang tight!

While in NYC Vlad and I did not over-shop, at least in our minds. Of course we shopped, but not crazily. I nearly left Hermes with a new goodie, but I decided to wait for something else and we got Vlad a treat instead, a Hermes wallet. We will photograph it later, but it is his new pride and joy. We picked up a few items from another store, and those pictures will come later.

NYC was damp, grey, and a bit chilly the whole time we were there. I am not complaining, it was actually a welcomed change from the typical sunny blue skies and low 80’s in South Florida. But I couldn’t help but wonder if the weather made every New Yorker, who usually loves to wear black, wear even more black. My red coat stood out like a sore thumb, but I didn’t mind. I paired my red coat with a golden olive cardigan and my mustard yellow Lambertson Truex Sienna clutch. But I somewhat felt like Ugly Betty and her colorful ensembles in a sea of grey, navy, and black. It didn’t keep me from wearing color and wanting to spruce things up a bit.

I love to watch designers reinvent themselves. Actually, I will go as far to say they don’t need to necessarily reinvent themselves, but keep us on our toes. Over at Luxaholics, trendsetting and style watching is paramount. There are always certain celeb trends I’d love to be able to sport and of course there are others I could do without. Megs wrote about the Dior Medium Dior 61 Tote about a month ago. And in her post, Megs mentioned how the color of the bag was one of the best parts of it. Since then, we’ve seen countless celebs carrying this statement of a handbag around. But, let’s be honest, dropping $1,850 to get the look might not be an option.
