If you’re sick of prints, pricy exotics and weird embellishments and instead just want a nice leather bag you can carry in a lot of situations and seasons, let me point your attention toward Givenchy‘s Summer 2016 bags. The brand got back to basics with this lineup; in it, you’ll find the Antigona, Nightingale, Pandora and Bow-Cut in hues of black, brown, navy and blush, as well as a couple denim bags and some light studding here and there. The look is decidedly wearer-friendly.
There are a couple featured bags with contrast broguing and stripes, but the majority of the styles are light on embellishment, which makes this season an ideal time to pick up one of these bags if you’re looking for longevity. There are also a bunch of very functional clutches in the group–mostly little flap bags on chains instead of the less user-friendly minaudieres some brands love to make.
Take a look at the brand’s full handbag lookbook below; many of the styles are already available for pre-order or purchase at Neiman Marcus, Saks or Nordstrom if you see something that tickles your fancy.

Same bags recycled or embellished…
I like number 26 and all of the Pandora Box bags. The others are too big for my liking.
Can totally see kris Jenner with 28, 39 & 40!
tired bags
So many beautiful bags!!! I live the darker blue Antigona and Nightingale!
Love
I’m so bored with Givenchy
Same!
I love them, especially the colours. Gemma x
I still love the Antigona. Not the least bit tired of it yet. It’s a great workhorse day bag that’s appropriate for the office. It’s not “in your face” but rather is understated enough for a very conservative office like mine (where women even remove their engagement rings so that we don’t appear flashy to our clients). Clean lines, good size, unfussy and just sophisticated. If it ain’t broke, why fix it? I’m not obsessed with trends or constant newness and having to always have the latest whim. I tend to find something I like and stick with it for a couple of years or even longer. I embraced the Antigona rather late, but I recently bought one for work, and it has quickly become my favorite weekday bag. I would love to have it in powder blue (#7) for summer. Normally I’m not a huge fan of the Nightingale, but #31 looks like a rich, decadent leather. Lovely.
Love the navy Antigona!
#4 has my name on it. Can someone tell me which size is this and price?
