My 6 year old daughter had only one thing to say while I browsed through the collection “mommy, that looks just like the projects we did at school for arts and craft” need I say more?
Shame on you Chanel

I love how with Chanel its always half “Oh that’s nice” and half “What?”
I do like this collection more than the previous one though.
this one was more like 80% “What?” for me. they’re never boring, that’s for sure.

The messenger bags, the camera bags, and the shopper bags are great. I don’t care for the pom bags, or the shag carpet bags. I like the neoprene flower bags, but to pay thousands of dollars for a bag made of neoprene is ridiculous.

I cannot understand how these are “Dubai inspired”. Like, really!? I’ve lived in Dubai for half a decade, and nothing (okay, maybe *one* of the bags) makes me think about Dubai even remotely.
Well Karl does design Fendi, so I can’t blame him for borrowing a few ideas. People gotta cut some slack for him, I mean he is in his late 70’s early 80’s and he is designing all of Chanel and the women’s wear for Fendi and that is like at least 12 collections every year! Although some of his designs are a bit… icky and a few wtf moments, but still I commend him for thinking outside the square considering his age.. Oh and I also forgot he has his own label to design as well year in year out.. Putting it this way, I really admire this man…

I know you have mentioned in the past that you’re not incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, but by the looks of that last photo I’d never know it! Stunning. http://www.ukhandbagsblog.com

A lot of these look like stain magnets. Shudder to think what would happen if some sauce got dropped on it.

But I know for a fact from the internet that Dubai is made of plexiglass, snap buttons and tassels.
Right? I definitely think they could have done some beautiful things with a theme like “Dubai,” but this collection is disappointing.
I really liked the messenger bag in slide 2. That fringe bag looks kind of scary, and the double flap shopping bag is just odd.
I died and went to Chanel heaven
The Chanel shopping bag is to die for
I think Chanel took a ride in FENDI’s ideas of embroied bags..
Not very unusual …
