I hate Pre-Fall for the same reason that I hate Resort: It’s so hard to get good pictures of the bags, shoes and accessories when the lines debut. Because most designers have small shows or presentations for a very small group of buyers and editors and then simply release lookbook images to the fashion press at large, the detail shots that you get during the big, somewhat public Spring and Fall runway shows are basically nonexistant. Still, though, we do the best we can to sniff out as much information (and as many pictures for you guys) as we can find.

With that in mind, I’ve done some Internet sluething and come up with the best pictures available of Celine Pre-Fall 2011 Handbags. That includes shots from preview-attenders that were posted to Twitter and Facebook, as well as a look at the brand’s official images from the collection. If you spot any we’ve missed floating around on the Internet, let us know and we’ll add them to the gallery.

I have considered purchasing a Celine bag a couple times ….and always end up liking another bag just a little more. I do love the clean lines and the look of the leather…who knows maybe pre-fall is the time.

Anytime I see fur I am put off for the whole line. I like the simplicity of the bags, but again the fur is just too disgusting for words.

Wish the totes came in smaller size – they are enormous and would be very heavy when full.

When I saw Miranda Kerr carrying her Celine tote in the Intouch Magazine-Jan. 16th issue, I new this would be my first Celine bag!! Love the solid color!!

they don’t need your ungrateful low budget account

Did a bear swallow some of the models? Whether it’s real or faux, ugh. I love the sleek design of Celine, so the excess of fur (puffy, hairy, etc.) detracts from what makes the clothing appealing to me.

  • 19yearslater

Well I love the shade of red used on one of the totes in the large picture.

I love the fur, but it does look a litle out of place among all of the minimalist look.
I also saw Miranda Kerr with the tote. I love these colors, but my concern is how large it is and how short the strap is. With a bag that big and cumbersome, I think that the straps should be a little longer and thicker. It looks heavy already, and there’s nothing in it. Besides, eventually, you’ll want to wear it over the shoulder.

While the totes are nice, they are enormous. If I were ten inches taller I could pull off the look. As much as I love fur, I don’t think it’s compatible with this style of bag.

Wouldn’t it be cool if Celine had a custom option where you could pick two colors to be made into a bag? Or a color plus a fur or shearling?
Also, I agree that straps should be able to go over a shoulder with that size.
