Want It Wednesday: Cover Up with a Wonderful Coat

If you’re joining us from most of the continental US, you may have noticed something yesterday: oh my gosh it is so cold outside. It’s starkly freezing today too, and these days are only going to become more frequent over the next few months. We suggest combining that with lots of hot toddies and beautiful outerwear, and we’re here to help. At least when it comes to the coats, that is. All hot toddy recipes welcome in the comments.

beautiful coats, but my 4-figure purchases are reserved for bags!

Beautiful camel or cashmere coats have got huge staying power – definitely outliving the relevance of some designer bags. My first Max Mara camel coat is 11 years old and still going strong.

This is a great point… coats also don’t wear down as quickly as bags, even if you wear them all the time. But you have to live in the same climate and have the same size/body type/style! I don’t know if I can take any of those for granted 🙂

In real life, my favorite coat is from the Gap and cost me like $90. Looks a lot like the Belstaff one!

would you ever consider doing a post on non-leather designer bags? It would be sooo helpful

Amanda Mull

Sure! We’ll totally add that to our list.

I too look forward to a post on designer luxury vegan handbags-price no bar but it’s the philosophy that prevents me from purchasing any handbag that led to the slaughter of an animal.

Gorgeous coats. My favourite is the Bottega…so classic. Also love this winter white stunner by Johanna Riplinger: http://www.trovea.com/johanna-riplinger/oversize-coat.html

Shop great emerging designers from all around the world in one place. Wear something unique with a great story, from places like Uruguay, LA, NY, Sweden, Spain, Dubai and India.

OH MY GOD I saw that same coat at the bottom of the page at http://neatstacks.com. I was going to buy but they were so cheap I thought they might be fake.
