Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Trolley

Personally, the thought of buying luxury luggage makes no sense. Even if the bag is just a carry on, you are looking to have it exposed to dirt, residue, spills, scuffs, tears, and stains. I am not sure it makes me a hypocrite, but I do travel with my designer bag as my ‘purse’ carry on, and many times my bag ends up sitting on my lap. But to roll on an extravagant piece of travel gear, the kind of extravagance that people only dream can be on their handbag, is absurd. Right? Must be wrong, because the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Trolley is being sold to the rich and famous and BV obsessed. Measuring approximately 20″ x 14″ x 9″, this trolley adheres to BV’s signature woven Nappa leather. The size is a perfect carry on, but if you have a commuter flight beware; your precious bag will get thrown under the plane with the rest of them, and undoubtedly will not be treated any kinder than the plain black luggage from Target next to it. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love this piece, but until I am flying private plane only, this will not be on my list. Buy it through Bottega Veneta for $3960.

It’s ok, but why the poop brown? It would look so good in a different color. (fb)

I think it is more of a chocolate brown color. (ipad)

OMG. So nice, but I would be so afraid to let the baggage handlers at SFO touch her. (ipad)

Yes it is absolutely beautiful, but not so delicate. I’ve had the exact same case with the laptop bag that sits on top since 2008 and i have travelled regularly on budget as well as a regular passenger with my travel system and have had it with me all the way. If its not overloaded it will be allowed on as hand luggage. I’ve only had one issue at Douala airport in africa where the steward tried to tell me i couldn’t take it on as hand luggage because it was over weight. Fortunately, i went through VIP, so managed to reduce the weight and put it into another bag that was then placed in my big suitcase. Other than that its a well worthy investment. People were boarding the flights with their lv and gucci’s, staring at mine trying to figure out what brand made it. I loved the exclusivity of not having a brand stamped all over it. I still have the system today, stored in its original dust bag. I have thought about selling it a few times, as i’m grounded now, but when i think of more or less giving it away for nothing, i decline…I’d rather keep it for one of my daughters or sons who could carry it as its an asexual piece.
