The Most Anticipated Bag of the Season Is Here—and It’s Under $1,000

The bag version of the coveted Tory Burch Pierced mule has finally arrived

Tory Burch Pierced Bag

Working in the luxury bag world for a decade has changed my tastes and how I shop in many ways. It’s also come with the unfortunate side effect I like to call price immunity. What I mean by that is I’m very, very rarely shocked by the cost of something.

The number of times I’ve referred to something as “cheap” before quickly correcting myself and apologizing to whomever I’m speaking to is one time too many.

It has also made me extremely picky about the brands I shop and what I buy. That said, it’s been a long time since a contemporary bag piqued my interest in the way that the Tory Burch Pierced bag has, and from what I’m seeing on social media, I’m not alone.

On the heels of (quite literally) the Tory Burch Pierced Mule, which put Tory Burch at the forefront of fashion girls’ minds once again, comes the highly-anticipated Pierce bag.

Introducing the Tory Burch Pierced Bag

Making its debut on the runway for Spring 2025, the Pierced bag is set to be one of the season’s most-wanted bags. Innovative and cool, this sleek new carryall is defined by its curved lines and distinct, pierced corner.

The bag expands upon Tory Burch’s best-selling collection, melding fashion with function. The slim silhouette sits nicely under the shoulder but is roomy enough for daily wear.

Rarely does a new design feel fresh, but this bag is unique enough that it stands out from everything else happening in the handbag world right now. It’s minimal, yet statement-making and the metal ring detailing acts like a jewelry piece but on your bag.

Arriving in one size, the Pierced bag comes in an array of neutral colors that fit its understated, minimalist appeal, as well as a bold, bright blue (which is the one I love the most). Inside, the circular carryall is fitted with a slim zippered pocket, and its overall dimensions are  17.7″ x 12.3″ x .4″. Purchase via Tory Burch for $998.

Tory Burch is akin to Michael Kors – so outdated

This looks like a gimmick. It won’t hold much either.

A more chic version of this bag (also under $1000) is the Flora from Stephanie Cesaire. https://www.stephaniecesaire.com/boutique/sacs/flora/flora-cuir-de-veau-nubuck-graine-chamois/

Actually, Stephanie Cesaire makes several cool bags, it’s worth giving her selection a look. A few years ago, I dithered between her and Polene, ultimately going for Polene instead. On our next trip to Paris, I will definitely be shopping at Stephanie Cesaire. All bags made in France and she still has just one store, her flagship. (6 rue Saint Florentin, Paris 75001)

The pierced heavy hw reminds me more of Chloe’s style imo
